Holiday Inn Express Hartford Convention Center Area

Ok if you just need a place to sleep...

The hotel itself is ok. Clean and the room was decent. Few things that will keep me from staying there again... first it is in an awful area. I went out to find a place to eat and didn't feel safe. Spoke to a fiend who works in the area after and he confirmed that it is not a safe area. Second.. there was a really loud noise coming from the vent in the bathroom. So loud that I had to sleep with ear plugs and the bathroom door closed. I would have asked for another room but by the time the noise started I was already settled in for the night. When I mentioned it to the person at the front desk they acted like they didn't really care. If you are looking for a place to sleep that is right off the highway and you don't plan on leaving it once you check in then it's fine. If you want to explore the area I would find something else.

Nice Stay

This hotel was close to the highways but the room was quiet. The restaurant next door was convenient and reasonable.

Great Hotel

I found the staff to be very friendly and the complementary breakfast is ideal for when you are in a hurry. Access to their guest computer and the Internet was a lifesaver for me when I needed to use it for business. When going to my workshop I found the off and on ramps to I91 very convenient to downtown Hartford. I was very grateful for free parking when I was in and out of the hotel for various activities. I know parking fees at other hotels would have been very costly and annoying. I do not only recommend this hotel but I will stay there again if ever I'm in the Hartford area.

Great Hotel !

Honestly I was not sure what to expect when I booked my stay.. I am glad I did ! Very large rooms, comfortable bed, very nice breakfast.. If you ever go to Hartford, stay at this hotel. You will be happy you did.

Fine

Helpful warm folks at the front desk, convenient location off I-91, a little further out of 'downtown' than I first expected, but the resulting benefit of free parking! Clean, comfortable, quiet... I will stay there again.

Excellent Value

The hotel physical plant was very good. Cleanliness excellent. Breakfast supplies were replenished as needed. Staff was helpful. Location for my business meeting in downtown Hartford was convenient. Industrial location was not a deterrent. Good on-off access to the Interstate.
