The hotel wasen't to bad but what really upset me was they charged $18 a day for parking and on top of that you need to tip the vallet... But what realy pissed me off is there was a sign out front was a sign for $10 a day parking.. So they charge there guests MORE for parking than non guest? It seems to me they would apreachate their guests more if they had none.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 17Great Hotel
Rooms were clean, well outfitted and very comfortable. Concierge was very helpful and pleasant recommending nearby restaurants, etc. We also loved the free shuttle service within a 3-mile radius.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 17Decent Hotel
This is a typical "downtown" hotel experience. Yes, you are going to pay for parking. Yes there is going to be traffic noise if you have a city view. Nice rooms, great beds and bedding. Pool and restaurant both have nice views of the River. A bit of a hike, but within walking distance to shopping/restaurants at BayWalk as well as the Florida Aquarium. (Great aquarium for the kids!) Good hotel if you are doing business in downtown Tampa or need a place to stay before/after a cruise from the Tampa cruise port.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 17Expensive Room for the money
We stayed a weekend for my birthday and booked a "Deluxe King Riverview". The good thing (if you're a smoker) is that there are private balconies on every room to go out and burn one. However, there are quite a few downsides. The "riverview" was obscured by some conference room that was apparently added-on at some point. You had to lean over the balcony to see the river. Then the rooms did not get very cool at night. The AC worked, but if you like your room cooler when you sleep >70 F, you will be disappointed. Lastly, the entrance to the hotel is right on a busy highway, and the only option when you pull into the circular drive is Valet. We weren't told of the $16/daily charge for parking the car til we checked out. There are nice PCs to use in the lobby though. The front desk staff are generally nice. But we probably won't stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 17Frustrating Hotel
The Sheraton is a lovely hotel overall, but, it had several frustrating qualities. There were only two very small elevators for the entire hotel and they ran very slowly. When staying there along with a big conference or event, there is a huge line to use them. We used the stairs which were dirty, damp, and steep. The pillows were very thin, lumpy, and hard. The shower also did not work well. Overall, our stay was fine, but not worth the price we paid.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 17Wonderful Hotel
Hotel and staff were wonderful. But it is two to three blocks from the actual River Walk. The parking fee was $16/day, and I thought it would be only $10/day. The restaurant was very nice, and the food and service were excellent. The staff and valet parking attendants were friendly and efficient.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 17Good Deal
Didnt pay very much for this place and found a good deal. Staff was friendly but had some trouble getting extra towels. Valet crew was very quick and polite. Parking is $16 a day if you park a car there. Also, one of the elevators was broken which led to longer wait times from the 6th floor. Overall, Id give this place a 4 out of 5.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 17Parking charge?
Beware: there is an additional charge for parking($16/night) and no self parking so tipping valet can be additional cost. Everything else was good: friendly staff, good service, clean, & restaurant food was decent.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 17Great location for anything in Tampa
With no choice to park your own car, the charge was very high compared to other hotels in the area. If your room is street-side - very noicey all night (street sweepers, taxi horns. We were there Superbowl weekend - so it might be different at other times. Easy to walk where ever you wanted, well lit. We still enjoyed the stay very much.
