Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 50Hotel is very noisy unless staying on River Side
This hotel was very nice as far as rooms and pricing, but rooms on the street side were very noisy with street noise. Would only stay at this hotel again if room was on the river side.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 50Very nice
Very nice, just needed a room for a night but will consider staying during vacation time. During check in, we were told we had a view of the river. The view was of the Hotel entrance roof and if I streched my neck out of the balcony then we could see a speck of the river. I wished they would have said nothing of what view we were going to have, then I would have not been disappointed.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 50Great Hotel, but be careful of the shuttle
We picked this hotel especially because of the proximity to the Cruise terminal at Channelside. Which was very close, but not close enough to walk with all the luggage. The hotel promised a free shuttle, but were woefully unprepared. The evening we were there, there was a 45-60 minute wait for the shuttle. So we just walked to Channelside. On the day of the cruise, there was supposedly a 20-30 minute wait, but the shuttle broke and they did not communicate this to anyone and finally had a "pay-for-service" shuttle come and that company continuously tried to get us to pay for the shuttle when it should have been on the hotel. The communication on that side of the house was extremely poor. The hotel was great, staff was great INSIDE the building. If you are looking to this hotel to provide you accomodations and access to the cruise terminal, find a different hotel because they put our transportation at risk.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 50Parking
Although the valet service was great, the cost for overnight parking increased to $16.00 from $10.00 for daytime.

Old and dirty The view and location are wonderful but the rooms are nasty. NOT a 4 star hotel.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 8 of 50Looking for an excuse to stay there again!
Everything exceeded our expectations! The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful. Each staff member we came across went out of their way to assist, addressed us by name each time and made us feel like big shots. The valet service was great, and each time we got in the car we were asked if we needed help finding our location. The concierge was always one step ahead of us in making our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was a great deal, tasty and convenient. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, we never needed to ask for anything because they were there before we could ask. Internet service was perfect up in our room, and I noticed there were even computers we could have used down in the lobby. My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer and were only there for the Home Show at the convention center. (A short walk away.) So this means we'll have to plan a special trip to Tampa just to relax and enjoy the hotel's amenities. We never even made it down to the pool, but it looked lovely from our riverside view! My husband also enjoyed a 10 mile run around the town and said it was one of the most enjoyable routes he's ever done. He didn't even need a water bottle, the city has water fountains everywhere! Overall, I can't wait to go back again....I'm thinking maybe a week surrounding the Tampa Marathon!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 50nice hotel, staff needs some work
I was staying in Tampa with my 2 girlfriends to see a concert. The night manager and night security gaurd made several inappropriate comments to us during our stay.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 50Would select this one again.
Selected hotel for an overnight stay before boarding cruise. We didn't venture far but was easily able to find a CVS drug store a few blocks from hotel to pick up forgotten items. Very friendly staff - nice pool - okay selection at hotel's resturant. The free shuttle to cruise ship dock was an added bonus. Would select this one again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 50A bit pricey, but excellent comfort and service
We were extremely comfortable at the hotel and it is in an excellent location for traveling around the tampa area. It was a bit pricey, though, and we were suprised to find that the parking there is only valet and costs a substantial amount per evening. This added a considerable expense to our stay that we had not anticipated and wish that we had known ahead of time as it might have influenced our hotel choice.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 50Room Needs Improvement
The first floor common areas were excellent and the staff was very courteous and helpfull. Beer at the bar was reasonable and cold. The bed was comfortable and the drapes kept the room dark. However, every other part of the room needed improvement. The bathroom sink wouldn't hold water, the vanity looked like a couple of 2X4's nailed together and painted. The fixtures were either bent or completely broken. The elevators were annoying and made a scraping noise when closing and the buttons seemed to always be on the opposite side that I normally look for them. The hotel is 5 minutes from UT which is what I wanted but I would rate this a 2 star hotel based on the room and areas above the first floor.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 50Nice hotel but...
Hotel was nice but parking is limited to valet and they charge extra for it. The room was clean but the carpets had just been cleaned and were still wet. The bathroom was on the small side but the shower was great!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 50Nice hotel.
I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews, but was happy that I decided to stay there. Room was very nice, big and clean. I liked having the balcony. No real complaints. It's a good hotel. Don't know what the other reviewers were complaining about.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 50Needs new management
We waited 1 1/2 hours in line to check in. We prepaid for double beds but when we got there, none were available for us. The restaurant was unprepared to handle the volume of people from the conferences. We waited 45 minutes before any waitress would come to our table and a total of 3 hours from start to finish. The wait staff was unorganized, unattentive and not friendly during our Friday to Sunday stay. One of our rooms had dirty socks left in the bed from a previous customer and 2 other of our rooms had semen on the middle blanket. The hotel staff had to come up and strip the beds. No apologies were made and since there was conferences and hotels were booked up, we could not change hotels. I would not recommend this hotel and this should not be rated a 4star hotel.
