Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 142Excellent place to vacation at.
My family and I went down there in the fall season. Great rates there at the time. This hotel also has 2 fantastic indoor water parks so if you have kids they'll love it. The water parks are heated so even in the winter you can enjoy them. The food from the breakfast buffett was mediocre but we found out that it was better than most of the restuarants around there. I was not particularly impressed with the coffee. The bed was comfortable and it had a full kitchen. Pack food if you go and it will save you money as you can cook and they have kitchen essentials. Our bathroom had a little mold on the side of the wall but that was the only downside to the hotel.

Everyone was right, the parking spaces here is very small and because it's across the street, it could be very dangerous during high traffic times.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 142Great family friendly beachfront property
This was our first visit to Myrtle Beach and this hotel made it an incredible experience. We stayed in an oceanfront king studio on the first floor. It was very clean and spacious with a genrous balcony. With a convenient kitchenette and full sized refrigerator, it was very nice for the family. The staff was extremely friendly and explained that we would have full access not only to waterpark in the hotel, but also the waterpark in the adjacent property. Our son was only 15 months and we generally run into pool restrictions for children who are still in diapers. But, they are welcome to use the waterpark pools in this facility as long as they are wearing the swim diapers. The beach was very well kept and super family friendly. The hotel provides a convient boardwalk from the pool area directly to the beach. There were numerous kids activities available just about every hour on the hour. There was ample parking aviailable in a parking deck immediately across the road. There is no crosswalk or pedestrian tunnel, so crossing was at your own risk. But, the traffic was generally light enough that it wasn't an issue. The only complaint I could possibly make would be that although there was a coffee maker and mugs supplied in the room, there were no filters or coffee provided. So, I would recommend that coffee drinkers bring along coffee pods or filters and ground coffee. There was a Seattle's Best coffee bar, but it had limited hours during the off season. This hotel is about 3 or 4 miles from the famous Myrtle Beach strip, but it is a very easy drive. There are pleanty of restaurants within a 5 mile radius. Unless you are content to eat at the hotel, a drive will be necessary. Can't wait to go back!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 142Affordable and family-friendly
Pros: Affordable rates; great location; plenty of pools/water activities (the kids' favorite part of the entire trip); housekeeping staff polite and thorough Cons: Bathroom in our room had a strong urine odor, never completely went away during our stay (please note that we didn't complain about this to the front desk, though - suppose it is possible that we could have changed rooms); saw a cockroach (alive) in our room; coffeemaker in room and no coffee, front desk only had decaf; parking deck is across the street; 2 tvs in a one-room suite - can't watch and hear both unless they are on the same channel, seemed silly to have 2. Overall, we were pleased with our stay at this hotel. The kids loved the indoor water parks, especially the tower with the two large slides. Great place to stay for families with children.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 142The manager chased us into the parking lot.
The manager chased us into the parking lot as we were loading the vehicle. He was bringing us a DVD that was left in our room. That kind of stuff doesn't happen anymore. This was the third time we have stayed here this year and if we had more vacation time there would be a fourth. If you have children this is the place to stay in Myrtle Beach. Customer Service is great, location is great, waterpark is great. The parking garage is across the street but it only costs eight dollars a day for valet parking. Restaurant downstairs has a very good breakfast buffet. I think it costs something like seven or eight dollars a person, very good.

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was nice and the view was spectacular. The beach was very nice with a lifeguard station by the hotel. The indoor waterpark was very fun.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 142First time in Myrtle Beach
Booking the hotel was a cinch and well priced for myself, my wife and our two children (1 and 4) Beach was awsome and very close to the hotel, almost too many pools to choose from! They could have posted better directions to the various activites/amenities in the resort as we were sort of lost for the first while till we figured out where everything was. The resort itself is located a little ways from the main "night life" area (not walking distance) which can be good and bad depending on what you intend to do with your time. Nice view of the ocean for an angled room set back towards the street and clean rooms. *Hint, do not shop in the hotel's gift shops, you can get the same stuff and way more at any one of the local beach shops a few blocs away*. We did experience a problem when trying to extend our stay for one more night but that was resolved later in the day by the resort manager.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 142Great Hotel - Kid Friendly
We would definitely recommend this hotel! If you have children – this is the place to go. With all the pools and slides, no child will complain of boredom. Our toddler had a blast! The rooms were clean, service excellent and the hotel was in great condition. On the downside - you might want to bring your own pillows because the ones they have are quite uncomfortable. Also, we noticed that towels were somewhat worn out and fraying. What we liked the most was the location of the hotel. It was very serene and safe, perfect for the families.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 142Great Concept and nice rooms
Nice hotel/condo they will try to sell you timeshare but great amenities great for the kids with indoor water park with slides and water themes adequate for all ages. Small slides for the tiny ones and big water slides for the big kids indoor facility allows you to stay out of the heat which can be intense in mid summer. Lazy river and pools were adequate and fun for kids. Room was a 1 bedroom suite had sofa pull out 2 queen beds in 1 bedroom, murphy bed in living room more than adequate for our family of 3 and could have held more. Cooking facilities on premises great if you don't want to eat out all the time kitchen was fully equipped. Tile floor in most of place carpet in bedroom and living room. Towels were old and worn and would recommend bringing your own towels & washcloths and couch could have used steam cleaning but other than that great place to stay. All units seem to have different decor ours was average and view was not direct ocean but was as expected as no ocean front were available. Small balcony served its purpose.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 142not so great
the suite was considerable smaller than expected; the carpet was in disrepair; the table and appliances showed their age and wear; took WAY too long to get hot water in the shower.

If you are taking the kids to the beach this is the place for you. I did love that aspect but it was allot of children there in the indoor water park. I guess we should have expected that since it was peak summer time. I don't know, it was just allot of kids. I didn't like being on the 1st floor because everyone in the pool could look in your room but its great when transporting the kids around. It's in a great location on Ocean Blvd near everything. The beach didn't have too many people on it and the water was very nice. It has a kitchen i would advise using it because the cafe is pricey especially with kids and the buffet is not worth it even though the kids were free for 3 and under. Not enough variety. Overall there were some downfalls but I would go back just at a different time.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 142Clean Room
The room was extremely clean when we arrived, which is rare for a room on the beach, as we have stayed at other resorts in Myrtle Beach and the rooms were not as clean. The only negative is that housekeeping never showed on one of our days. We did request fresh towels and they arrived in minutes. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay on the beach. The staff was courteous and the resort is in a nice location, on the northern end of Myrtle.
