wonderful cusotmer service

My family and I were thrilled with the hotel and hotel staff. The level of customer service received was very refreshing. We called downstairs to receive a few things and after each call within 30 min. they called to make sure we received the items and we satisfied with them. We requested early check in and they called us on our cell to let us know our room was ready! The indoor waterpark was a blast for kids and adults. rooms were spacious and clean, although the carpet was a little dingy. Would definitely stay again.

Great Family Hotel

This is a family resort, no doubt about it. It is also a condo hotel which we were not aware of, although we knew the unit had a kitchenette. We arrived early in the morning and the front desk tried to accommodate us with an early check in and when we didn't like the room (due to an earlier review I read - it was on the 1st floor next to the pool) they allowed us to wait for another room, which was on the 5th floor - excellent ocean view, soundproof - never heard anyone in the rooms or hallway, great private balcony. The hotel is isolated - there are no restaurants or nightlife nearby. We didn't have a car - big mistake, cabs are expensive. It was a great place for families - not for a romantic weekend. We felt the sheets, towels (room and pool) were in terrible shape. Bring your own!

Great room & experience for a great price

Clean & well maitained. Teenage boys loved the great pools & water slides. Mom & Dad loved the oceanview, easy beach access & the hot tub! The service was great. We had a concern about the toilet working properly upon arrival. I made 1 phone call & maintenance came and fixed it within 5 minutes. He was friendly, polite & did his job with a smile. We got a great deal & had a great start to our vacation.

nice resort

We enjoyed our stay at Dunes Village. The value for what we paid was good, but I don't think we would have paid the full regular price to stay here. It is very comparable to other resorts that we have stayed in along the strand that are considerably less a night during this time. If it is worth it for you to pay more to have two TV's in your room, and some waterslides in the pool area then go for it. Otherwise make sure you get it on sale. Overall great resort and I'm sure you would enjoy your stay here.

ENJOYED OUR STAY!

THIS IS OUR SECOND VISIT TO THE DUNES. OUR ADULT CHILDREN AND 4 GRANDCHILDREN HAVE RETURNED 4 TIMES. ALWAYS CLEAN,STAFF FRIENDLY, WATER SLIDES AND PLAY AREA FOR CHILDREN ARE GREAT. NO GETTING INTO A CAR AND DRIVING TO WATER PARKS. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING IS IF YOU ARRIVE AT THE BUSY CHECK IN TIME IS IT OFTEN TIMES A LONG WAIT. WE JUST ARRIVE EARLY CHECK IN AND WAIT FOR OUR ROOM TO BE READY. I RECOMMEND THE DUNES VILLAGE RESORT IN MYRTLE BEACH, SC. DSA

Great hotel

Loved the hotel but it was just me and my husband and the hotel is very kid friendly with the waterslides and all but we would have enjoyed it more if our room wasnt directly over the pool with all the screaming kids all day and night. The room was nice and clean. The bed was ok. Not the best but for sure not the worse.

Great Hotel

This was one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The rooms were huge and very clean and the view of the beach was spectacular. The hotel location was another big plus, it is situated in the perfect location where it wasn't to crowded but you were still close to all the attractions. The only downside is that the parking garage for the hotel is across the street, it was kind of inconvenient.

very friendly

The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel was clean and the rooms did NOT smell like smoke! The resort had lots of kids activities to keep our children busy. The beach access was great. My kids loved the pools and water slides!

Great getaway hotel

We were looking for an inexpensive place on the beach for the evening. Originally booked in a place two miles inland at twice the price. My wife "found" the Dunes and it was a great surprise. Ocean view, balcony, spacious room and great staff. Not the most elegant place but hey it was on the beach
