Great hotel for price and location

The location of Microtel is great. Very close to shopping, downtown, and househunting. The price was great and the staff was more than friendly and welcoming. I would stay again and would recommend to people. The only thing that can be seen as a downside is that the single rooms are tight in size but still very comfortable for a couples weekend getaway.

better than what I expected

I really liked the convenience to downtown and shopping. THe staff was great, room was very comfortable... the only thing that I didn't like.. the custodial staff came everyday to turn over the room but didn't clean the shower.. just wiped up and replaced towels.

wonderful vacation stay

my entire stay at ur hotel was beyond excellent and i do tell all my friends and family 2 stay at microtel when the travel

Good deal

The hotel is modest, however, is in excellent repair (great shower), comfortable beds; frig, microwave, hair dryer. Nicely located midway between Stone Mt. Park and downtown. Close to Target, eateries, etc. A really good deal for the low price.

Not worth the money

Terrible housekeeping! The dirtiest hotel bthrm I ever saw. I spent 10 mins just cleaning the toilet. I had to go to the cust svc desk to get someone to clean the tub because the bottom had black stains and soap scum streaks was all over the tub and walls. The bthrm sink look like someone forgot to wash it after brushing their teeth. NASTY! The lid to the ice bucket had dried food and other kinds of stuff on it. Was in a non smoking rm on a smoking flr. When asked to be changed to a non smoking rm on a non smoking flr, we were told we would have to deal with noise instead of the smell of smoke on the first flr. Heard the boom booming music of the club next door all night anyway even though we stayed in our non smoking rm on the smoking 3rd flr. Will never stay there again.

Great room for the money

Great room for the money but we didn't like the location. There was "The Pink Pony" across the street from the hotel. So there was a lot of people walking through the hotel parking lot to go to the Pink Pony.

Needs Help

My wife and I have stayed in Microtels all over the country and feel that you receive a great product for the price. With that being said, the room we had a the Microtel Buckhead had dark black mold covering the entire forward section of the bath tub. This was the most expense Microtel that we have stayed at and were disappointed. We will still stay at Microtels, but probably not this on again.

The hotel room was very comfortable; however, I did not like the the facility being by a club. Overall, I would stay there again.

Great for the money

Located in awesome Buckhead. Very close to dining. Nice drive to good shopping. Across from a strip club, but when in the hotel I heard no noise from it. Only issue was that the smoke detector went off when I turned on the heat. I went to the front desk and they gave me a blanket. Oh, and you can hear the water moving in the plumbing.

Comfortable stay for great price

We had a an outstanding time primarily because everything from restaurants to shopping malls and gas stations was all around us. Nothing was more than 15 minutes away with traffic. We were a little skeptical to stay because of the various clubs/bars surrounding us, but they did not bother us at all. We had a room that was right next to the Mexican restaurant and did not hear a thing. The staff was accomodating, but we had to ask them to re-activate our keys because they had stopped working for a couple of nights. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back!

Great For The Price

The stay was quite nice and convienent to all of the things me and my girlfriend were planning to do in Atlanta. I would recommend this hotel to singles or couples. There was a strip club across the street so I am not sure if i would recomend it for families or church groups or anything. But for a nice little place for a quick night or two it is not bad at all.

Good Customer Service

I can say alot for the standard room, upon arrive the desk clerk ask what brought us to Atlanta, once we told him it was our honeymoon they upgraded us to a suite for no additional cost. We had a great room for the money. The staff was extremely friendly the location was only 4 miles from downtown Atlanta and our room was quite. The downside is the lack of things to do at the hotel, such as pool, or fitness center.
