Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 392Excellent Stay
Great location, clean, and very friendly staff. Only complaint was the shower didn't drain very well. But, would definitely stay at this Wyndham again.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 392Good room bad parking
The overall price of the hotel was good but they hit your wallet with parking. The sirens of the ambulances were very loud for being right next to the hospital. The area around the hotel is congested but great for shopping the Magnificent Mile. The swimming pool is very small. The hotel is nice but my husband and I felt we were not dressed nice enough. It was not a comfortable fit for our style.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 392goof for the price
Overall quality of the hotel is good, but in and out of the hotel was inconvenient for having to take two different elevators. Also the quality of bed was not par with other furniture.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 392NOT family friendly
We come to Chicago every year for a couple of nights. I booked the room for our family (2 adults, 2 children). The price was slightly higher than what I had paid in the past at other hotels, but this is a 4 star hote. We where dissapointed. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. Everything is extra. They had a snack-bar in the room, but a single candybar would have cost $3. The "pool" was totally tucked away behind the fitness room. It was obvious that it was not really for kids. The beds where not even queen size, and our rooms faced the Northwestern hospital. Every night the sirens woke me up at least 4 times. Don't pick this hotel. This was our worst stay EVER!!!!! You will regret it. On the other hand, the corner bakery right across the street was excellent.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 392Great Hotel for the Money
Our first day we were so impressed with the hotel. Employees were friendly and the room was great. We had a great dinner at the hotel with great service, breakfast was very good, but the service lacked. No refills on water or coffee, they pushed the buffet which we didn't want as well. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub, which a lot of the other hotels didn't have. I didn't realize the hotel was right across from a hospital, my own fault, but a lot of ambulances all day and night out side our window made sleeping a little difficult. We also checked our bags with a bell hop our last day, it took a very long time to find someone to get them back, which made us run a bit later than we would have liked for our train back. Overall though we were very pleased, had a great time and would stay there again!

Was upgraded to the Suite, and was very glad we did. A ton more room, and the stay was great!

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 392Ok
The room was good for the price, outstanding location. This was our first time to Chicago, and when we approached the concierge, they just handed us a map. I expected more as far as directions, restaurant recommendations, and just better service. There was also a weird clicking noise in the room that I mentioned to them, but nothing was done. Overall, pretty good room for the price.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 392Great location
Hotel location was great, cleanliness was good, comfort was good, but they charge extra per person, then extra on top of that for the roll away bed. Not very impressed with the double charge for the third person and bed.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 392Great Place, Great Location
My family and I had a wonderful time at the Wyndham Chicago. The location is great and all of the sights and sounds of Chicago are within easy walking distance. The rooms are quite comfortable and there are plenty of elevators so you are never left waiting. Overall, highly recommended.
