Outstanding Hotel

Great location 1 Block from Michigan Av. Restaurants & shopping are within walking distance. Timothy O'Tooles Pub is a Chicago Tradition.(great) Down Pillows & Pillow Top Mattress were wonderfull. Frendly and courteous staff.

'Request', not a reservation

I was told my reservation was only a 'request'. It took the manager to get me the room I reserved. Beware ot this hotel.

Perfect Location

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary a couple weeks ago. The location of this hotel was great. It was raining the entire time, but we were provided umbrellas to use during our stay. We enjoyed a short walk to so many fun places--Millenium Park, Buckingham fountain, SHOPPING on Michigan St., and a fantastic dinner at the Signature Room on the 95th inside the John Hancock building. (A MUST SEE! The Signature lounge is on the 96th floor with a gorgous view of the city, less expensive good food and drinks) Our only complaint was that a hotel of that rating and price didn't have a flat screen TV. They aren't that expensive and I think guests expect it in a hotel of that ranking.

Service with a Smile?

I travel a lot for work but this weekend I was in Chicago for relaxation. I looked forward to the kind of accommodations that the Wyndham advertised - upscale. Unfortunately, from checking in to checking out I was surprise by the nonchalant attitudes of the staff. I'm used to staff members in other hotels that make you feel welcome with their warm and caring attitudes. Instead, I was confronted with people just doing their jobs. In addition, I was take aback that the room had a cheap plastic shower curtain that was falling off the hooks. When we mentioned that the curtain was falling off the hooks to the staff, they said they would send someone up to fix it. They never did. How sad that someone is expected to pay all that money for location alone!

Great location in Downtown Chicago

My husband and I loved the location. Very comfortable room and bed. We especially loved the restaurant inside the hotel. Fabulous food and service - And most of all, you looked out over downtown area while you ate, view was spectacular!

Good hotel but not 4 star

Very clean, nice hotel in a great location BUT, I would expect a 300.00 (normal price) per night 4 star to have a flat screen television and free internet.
