Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 10make sure AC works
My girlfriend and I booked a room at the Hyatt on the Charles River, but switched to The Mitown Hotel because it would have been an easier walk to Fenway Park (went up for a Yanks vs. Red Sox game and to see the Green Dumpster), and if need be walkig distance to other points of interest. We left the hotel at 5pm, and left the AC on full blast. We got bak around midnight and our room was a sauna- AC did not work. Their solution?? They gav us a desk fan to use overnight. They advised a maintenance guy would come the next day, but didn;t until i made more of a stink... finally they moved u to another room, and the AC worked, but then that room smelled like the buffet in an Atlantic City casino... like old clothes and mold. If you KNOW the AC doesn't work right in the room, as the maintenance guy pointed out, WHY DO YOU BOOK GUESTS IN IT??? IT WAS THE HEAT OF SUMMER, YOU CAN SWEAT IN THE SHOWER IT WAS SO HUMID AND GROSS!!!!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 10Great value for price
This was a last minute plan and this hotel matched what we wanted and for the price we wanted. The room was nice and spacious and the bed was very comfy, except for the pillows, they were a little hard and lumpy but the king bed was great and there was plenty of room. Bathroom was a little tiny but ok, the vent in it though was very noisy. Hotel staff were very helpful, stored our bags, got a room ready for us before check in time and were very helpful with advice on great places to eat and public transport. Public transport and shops/restaurnts near by made this a great place to stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 10Thin walls made for an early morning
The hotel was fine but at 8:00 in the morning, all I could hear was the maids outside my door rambling on and on in their native language. It went on for about an hour and didn't make it easy to sleep in.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 10Good Location for the money
If you're looking for a cheap place to stay with a good location then this is the place for you, but don't expect anything great. The appearance of the hotel is pretty dull on the outside, and on the inside it is not much better. It definitely needs some renovations. The room was clean when we came in, but this too was nothing impressive. The worst part was that we could hear our neighbors through the walls the whole time, so that wasn't enjoyable. But the location is good, and it is cheap, so you pretty much get what you pay for.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 10Great Location
Excellent hotel for the price in that neighborhood. My only complaint was that they charged for parking ($14), but since the hotel is so cheap, it's still a great deal.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 10"Getting what I paid for"
I thought that the deal was too good to be true, and I feel that I got what I paid for. The pool is an outdoor pool even though you have to go into the hotel to get back out to the pool's courtyard. Sliding door to the bathroom, luke warm water (so much for a nice hot shower), although at least it wasn't cold. Parking is not included in the price, and the staff was underwhelming in their proffessionalism and courtesy.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 10Great value for the money
This hotel is a great value for the money! To stay in the heart of Boston in a clean, friendly, moderately priced hotel is a gift. We had easy access to the T's, shopping, and dining, as well as a great place to stay while attending RED SOX GAMES. We would recommend this hotel for its location, its facility, and its very friendly and accommodating staff.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 10the Midtown is cheap and fantastic
the only complaint you can make is aesthetic...the sign outside and general decor could use some work. also, in my room there were locked doors connected to the two neighboring rooms, kind of creepy. walls are a tad thin, but my neighbors were a loud and obnoxious family. otherwise for price, quality of service and location, there's no better deal. i'm going back to boston soon and will stay there again.
