Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 54Decent hotel on a budget
The hotel is in a pretty good location and it is hard to find one cheaper and in the same location. The staff are like zombies except two gentlemen that worked there. Everyone else can't seem to smile or look at anyone. We even heard staff patronizing a guest about directions. The guests seem to be young people saving money to party which isn't bad for some.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 54Why you should consider the Midtown Hotel
The price/location is way to good to pass up as long as you don't have high expectations. The hotel is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and the location is perfect for getting around the city. The rooms and decor are very dated but, this time of year, everything else in Boston is very expensive. With the money you save, you can have some great meals. Thats my rational.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 54Worst hotel I have ever stayed
Midtown hotel is essentially an overpriced motel. I could easily hear the people next door because the walls were so thin. My room smelled like smoke even though there was a non-smoking sign on my door.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 54Great Location, No Services - Business Travelers Beware
The best thing about the Midtown Hotel is its location. Other than that, if the hotel offers any services whatsoever, they are a well-kept secret. It's you, two pillows, and a soda machine down the very long hall.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 54Belongs next to a highway in the middle of nowhere.
Don't let the image on this page fool you. What's important is what you can't see. This hotel is a 2-story 1970's design that probably even looked cheesy then. Things get worse on the inside. The hallway carpets have been soiled and matted, at certain points you are presented with overwhelming smells, all unpleasant. The whole building felt and appeared dank and unkempt.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 54Great value for money
Attended a conference at hotel near by. Midtown Hotel was clean, quiet, very helpful and friendly staff and the two minutes walk across to the conference center saved me quite a few dollars a day.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 54Good hotel, but older
For the price and the location (2 blocks from Prudential Center), on the same block as the Symphony T-stop on the E-line, this was a great value. Walls are a little thin, carpet seems old, but otherwise, bathroom fixtures, furniture, and amenities up to date in the room. TV on the small side, but adequate. The hotel itself is 2 stories, clearly older, not that attractive, the pool is in the center courtyard where I would feel like I was being watched all the time, vague musty smell in the hallways and it's a maze to find your room. $10/day internet is a bit pricey, but given the low cost of the room and the central location, not so bad. Overall, a good value and would recommend others to stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 54One problem
Only problem was they mixed up my reservation with another and cancelled my original reservation. So when he went to reinstate it my original room of a king bed was gone and I had to get 2 doubles. Other than that it was a nice hotel.
