hotel is right at the main st. but quiet. close enough to airport but enough distance that you do NOT hear the planes flying by.

Not too bad a place. Iffy neighborhood at nite. ok for nite before cruise, $14.00 for ride to ports, which is alot cheaper than taxi.

The area of the hotel was convient for an over night stay to the Port of Miami for a cruise. The shuttle fee from the airport and to the port was included in the package. Person at the front desk was courteous. Dennys was two blocks up the street.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 42Bad Vibe
While the check in clerk was nice, the area itself was not. There were random people in the parking lot, just sitting around on their blankets and people roaming. We were on the 1st floor and that made me a little scared. We just needed a bed to sleep in and if you like springs in your back, then this motel will suffice. Not worth the money we paid, if you're looking for one night before the cruise, don't stay here.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 42convenient location
We were going on cruise the following am. The price and location were good. The staff was helpful and polite. We paid for transportation from the airport and to the cruise, it was combined with the hotel fees and that worked out good. The hotel itself wasn't the greatest, but for one night ok. No kleenexes in room and the pillows were very flat.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 42Terrible Hotel! Avoid at all costs!!!
So me and my girlfriend needed a place to stay for the night before she caught her plane out of Miami. We decided to book the Midtown Inn due to the good deals on it's cost and all of the promises of comfort and additional "perks" they offered (ie. Pool, wireless internet, complimentary "breakfast," friendly staff, etc.) So we decided to check in around 9 o'clock PM the night before her flight (we would be leaving at 5 AM the next morning). We get to the front desk and the worker behind the desk, a man that was bleeding from the top of the head gave us a hard time about checking in. He stated that it was hotel policy that you must be at least 21 years old to check in to the Midtown Inn. I showed him the printed receipt from hotels.com that it stated that the minimum check in age was 18 years old, not 21. After he raised his voice multiple times he agreed to let us the room, snarling the check out time as we walked out of the lobby to the room. Now the rooms all face the outside, so there is no interior hallway of any sort, and the neighborhood that the Midtown Inn is located in is dangerous and awful. On the cab ride over to the hotel we heard police sirens wailing, angry shouts and profanity from people walking the streets, and even our cab driver told us "not to go out and walk anywhere, because this is a veryyyy bad pat of town!" He repeated this multiple times, drilling it into our heads. So, despite being located by a dennys and other buildings (that have bars on their windows, kind of tells you something about the neighborhood), the danger imposed from venturing out of the hotel was not worth the risk. We walk towards the room, taking the stairs up a flight, since there is no ramp or elevator. All of the rooms are in an L-shape surrounding the parking lot below. In the corner of the parking lot is a small fenced in pool, filled with murky water and debris. So, when we get to the room we open the door and notice that there is a terrible musky smell coming from

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 42Convienent for a night if you are taking a cruise
Our flight arrived late at night and there was some confusion when we got there about our room but once that was settled everything went well. The room was clean and comfortable. The service set up the next day for transportation to the port went smoothly so overall it was a good stay even though we were there for less then 12 hours.
