Okay For The Price

The hotel is very well situated on the Oceanfront. Convenient to everything. Ample parking in the deck. The pool truly needs to be renovated!!! A little work on elevators, but otherwise fine. Off-season prices are pretty good. The charge should not go up too much for in-season however!!!!

good hotel for the money

very nice stay at this hotel, beds were very comfortable, view was great, location was great, had lots of trouble with room safe, could not get possessions out of it had to call maintenance twice, to get things out, other than that it was very nice, would recommend it to everybody

Small accomodations for the money

The room was nice with a beautiful view. A/C was old and not so good. Room was extremly smwll for the price paid.

Stay Away.

I made a huge mistake reading some of the reviews. They have to be paid reviewers for the hotel. Let's list the issues. 1. No cold water 2. Mold on ceiling 3. Maybe the toilet flushes, maybe it doesn't 4. Furniture is ripped 5. Air conditioning was not adequate 6. Sticky doors 7. No air conditioning in hallways 8. Asked for a wake up call, aaaand they missed it. 9. Refrigerator door would not seal shut 10. Missing lightbulbs in lamps The view was good. The room is very small - be prepared to be surprised how small a room with two queen beds can be. The location is very far south of the action on Atlantic - you might like it, I didn't. My mistake. The Fish Bones restaurant is quite nice, though. The convenience store in the lobby is a nice touch, but the attendant knew maybe 14 words and 10 of those are numbers. Beds were comfy.

Clean and Friendly

We were pleased with our stay. Our room with 2 queen size beds was a little small, but everything was clean. The only complaint we have is that the air conditioner in our room was EXTRMELY loud. It worked well, but was about the oldest unit I have ever seen in a hotel. I did not ask if every room in the hotel (it has 9 floors) had that old and loud of a unit. We would like to stay there again, but before I do, I will call to inquire about the air condition units in the other rooms. It was real hard to sleep the first night, after that you kind of got used to it a little bit. The breakfast was nice --cereal, juice, milk, fruit, pastrys and bagels and toast. It was enough for us.

Great room for the money

Always nice to have breakfast included, plus a 24-hour coffee & juice. Enjoyed the indoor pool when storms forced us off the beach. Convenient boardwalk location and oceanfront balcony was nice. Parking garage has very low clearance and small spaces. Check in-check out was very speedy. Handy convenience store on site.

Old, smelly, and gummi bears

Upon checking in my family entered the room only to be overwhelmed by a gust of musty smells. Everyone in my family said something about the smell so I knew it wasn't just me. Called hotel and they sent maintenance up to inspect. They verified the smell and immediately sprayed the heck out of the rooms. The smell came back the next day. I gave up after that and didn't bother to call again. It must have been something in the walls or in the air conditioning. The room was old and worn down. The remotes were missing the back and the tv's were missing the power buttons. The carpet was so old i felt like wearing flip flops. Despite some other reviewers, the toilet had massive power. The shower was very weak and took a long time to clean. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. The pull out couch was old and uncomfortable in both positions. The halls were not air conditioned and very hot. The only redeeming thing about my stay was the balcony and the view/location. It was great waking up in the morning seeing the early morning waves and surfers. Watching the sunset at night was great. Overall I would not recommend the hotel because of the smell. Everything else was tolerable.

Great rooms

We were on the first floor of the building and had a great view of the ocean from the room and all the rooms faced the ocean. They made the beds every day and gave us clean towels when we needed them. We had a great time while we were there.

great for the money though plumbing needs fixed

THIS WAS A CLEAN HOTEL IN A GREAT AREA. THE BALCONY OVERLOOKING THE OCEAN WAS TERRIFIC. NOT LUXURIOUS BUT NOT A DUMP EITHER. STAFF WERE FRIENDLY. HAD A NICE BREAKFAST IN A BREAKFAST ROOM. MUFFINS, DANISH, TOAST, JUICE CEREAL ECT.SOME AREAS COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANER. FOUND AN OLD MACARONI NOODLE BY THE BED.BATHROOM WAS GRANITE. TOILET HARD TO FLUSH AND TUB WAS A SLOW DRAIN. OVERALL, FOR THE MONEY, I WOULD RECOMMEND IT.

Surfside Oceanfront Inn and Suites

I guess I just expected a lot more since the hotel was practically on the beach. The staff was helpful and courteous, but the hotel needs an upgrade desperately. The room though clean smelled of insect spray.
