Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 13Great Room!
We had a fantastic stay at the Maui Coast! We stayed in the 1 room suite and had 3 adults in the party. we were very comfortable in the room. The bathroom was huge and included a soaking tub. The lanai had views of the ocean and Haleakala. The only disappointment was the distance to the beach. We had called the hotel prior to booking to see how far the beach was. We were told it was across the street. In actuality there are private residences across the street from the hotel, and guests must walk about 1/3 mile around the homes to get to the beach.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 13Great room for the price
We chose this hotel for the location and price.I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the junior suite. The hotel had been recently remodeled. The only problem we had was our air-conditioner not working but was taken care of imediatly.Beds are comfy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is a little small if you are a swimmer but the garden area around it is lovely and the beach is just across the street. there is a nice bar and cafe poolside.I would recomend this hotel to friends and stay again myself.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 13Good hotel
The location of the hotel is good. It is very convenient to the stores nearby and the beach near the hotel is great. It is only 20 minutes drive to the Maui Ocean Center where many cruiese leave. The furniture is very new and the hotel is very clean.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 13Nice Room, but where's the other bed?
The stay here was great. I really have no complaints about any of the services. In short, I guess I reserved a "standard" room with 2 (that's two) beds. It was just myself and my buddy. When we got to the room, I saw only 1 king bed. Well, that ain't happening. I immediately called the desk and she told me that the sofa was a pullout-- and that I had reserved a standard room... this one is the nicer "upgraded" room. I told her I wasn't really into sleeping on a pullout sofa for the next 3 days, and she told me that it wasn't bad-- that she had stayed in the same room with her kids... We decided that we wouldn't try and force the issue, because it was a very nice room, and I slept on the sofa. My back was a little sore after 3 days. The pullout sofa might be OK for a kid-- or even 2. A 200 pound adult is a different story. Also of note, they are remodeling-- but I have to say that noise was not an issue-- although we were on the 5th floor

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 13Maui Coast Hotel--You'll Love This Place!!
Aloha All, We live on Oahu, but went over to Maui for a weekend stay. If you're looking for a great place to stay at a reasonable price, this is the place for you...way beyond our expectations! Located right in the heart of Kihei on Maui's south coast, the beach is literally right across the street. Great places to eat just minutes in both directions. Very clean rooms, nice facilities (good/well priced restaurants, pool)and an awesomely friendly staff. It isn't a top end resort if that's what you're looking for...but it is a clean, convenient place to venture out from to enjoy what Maui has to offer. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 13Needs Better Customer Service Skills
Customer service was definitely lacking. Upon arrival, person to check us in was not friendly, lacked attention to detail. Person checking us out didn't greet us and was actually in a conversation with another hotel employee at the front desk for a good 5 -7 seconds before looking up and saying, "ROOM #". No good morning or hello, how was your stay? She wasn't going to give us a receipt, nor did she even say thank you. I was utterly disgusted and disappointed. Hotel cleanliness - sheets were not changed from the night before. Sand was still in our bed.
