Old hotel that is falling apart

Rain leaked through room window. Very noisy and poorly-maintained hotel. Would not recommend to others. It was a terrible stay.

More Motel than Suites

We though to get a big deal when we booked with Hawthorn Suites DFW Airport Irving. However, our room was not much different from a standard motel room, with the exception of a small kitchen cabinet in the netrance area. There were real suites in the hotel, but not for us with our "special summer savings."

Nice Hotel

The room had a kitchenette that was nice. For a long stay this was definitely comfortable. The layout is good and keeps the sitting/working area seperate from the sleeping. Only issue was that the backside of the hotel is at the FEDEX terminal yard. The corner of the room was very active the first night as it is a trucking company. I would request room on other side on next visit. Food was excellent! Even if had same room would stay again - very nice and great value choice!

Great room for the money

Room was very nice. Price was great and the waffles in the morning were an added bonus.

EASY to DFW

Turn left out of the hotel and follow the signs. No highway - EASY access. Love the managers reception and hot breakfast.

Great room for the money

Had to go to Dallas with work and had to stay for 3 weeks. The airport is peppered with hotels some just across the street from each other and in this day and time, they all seem to be offering incentives to lure you in. I am usually a fan of bigger chains but since I had to pay out of my own pocket for this one, I did try to use some budgeting constraints and decided to go for a more "conservative" type. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff is more than accommodating, helpful and ready to help in any way they can. You will find a modest - but free - breakfast every day of the week and Monday to Thursday even a Happy Hour event. Rooms are clean, with a bit outdated furniture but since this was not my permanent home, didn't mind at all. You will find a small kitchenette with a stove, microwave and refrigerator should you decide to fix something for yourself and the most important thing of all, the Internet is complimentary and never lost signal - which I can not say for the "big boys hotels". For food, there are a couple of fast food places within walking distance and if you do have a car, many good places within 3 - 4 minutes drive. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Great if you can get it cheap.

Overall this is a nice hotel. Breakfast, cocktail hour and clean spacious rooms. Some of the hotel staff leaves a little to be desired. The morning front desk clerk just stares at the TV all morning long which doesn't add to an over all feeling of welcome. There isn't much near the hotel in terms of eating or entertainment. Although there is plenty of eating and entertainment within 10 minutes of the hotel. I would reccomend staying here if you can get a room on the cheap. Otherwise there are other hotels in the area that offer comperable services and ameneties for less.

Outstanding Hotel

Very comfortable and clean room. Great office working space. Quiet and easy to get in and out of. Service from staff was super friendly. Great place to stay and I will be staying here often.
