I'd recommend this hotel

The rooms were updated and modern. Great location! Just a short walk to Aspen square. Quiet hotel with friendly staff. Pool and hot tub was great. Quiet and relaxing!

below expectation

too pricy and they dont even have microwaves in the rooms. But the staff was very friendly and great location too.

great room for the money

warm, cozy and comfortable, service was excellent they fed exed my luggage for me and even taped it up and filled out the form. very helpful with directions around town. I will go back and stay again.

Stenth of Fireplace Smoke

My "Fireplace Room" smelled exactly like the inside of a fireplace. Despite not having a fire in the fireplace of my room the room had an overpowering smell and I think that smoke from fireplaces in other rooms may leak into the room I stayed in. While the room was OK from other aspects, by mid-week all of my clothes had absorbed the smokey smell of the room. This probably not only ruined the time that I spent in my room, but the smokey smell that I carried with me on my clothes detracted from my enjoyment of my entire Aspen experience. I reported the problem to the hotel desk and nothing came of it. My room charges for this hotel were very high and I wouldn't spend a penny to stay is such a situation ever again. I will be interested to see what type of remediation Hotels.com will take to compensate me and prevent other people from a similar experience.

Loved the location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and having a room by the hot tub. The hot tub is in a courtyard surrounded by serene landscaping. Didn't try the heated pool, but it looked inviting. For those into tv, they are large plasma screens.

Great room for the price

I spent one night at the Molly Gibson with my two sisters. The hotel was very conveneintly located for walking to restaurant and shops, and even to the gondola for a summer ride up to the summit. THe beds were comfortable, the towels were incredibly soft (the best ever!), continental breakfast was very fresh and perfect for what we needed. My only complaint would be that the fan in the bathroom needed some repair, atleast there was a fan. I love the layout of the buildings with deck and chairs to sit and smell the fresh air, however, at 8am there was another guest compelled to smoke a cigar which spoiled that moment. The hotel staff was very friendly and offered books, games and videos while staying there. I wouldn't recommend for a family just because this is "Aspen" and there is quite a snooty feel about the entire town. I live in CO and don't care to go back to Aspen, however if I did I'd stay at this place again!

Comfortable room

We were highly satisfied with our room. The service and attendants were very friendly and helpful. The front desk took alot of time to answer questions and gave good suggestions on where to eat and shop. We had a little problem with the room temperature adjustments, but this was minor.
