We needed a handicapped room, and they went out of their way to see to it that we had one.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 30Good Hotel for the Money
The Radisson Hotel L.A. Westside was very convenient to the area we were visiting in LAX and a good value for the money. The room was comfortable with the Sleep Number beds (don't make them too soft or you may wake up with a sore back). The shower pressure was fabulous! However, the room was showing some disrepair (window topper frayed and coming apart; bathroom wallpaper had been patched a few too many times). Also, I understand parking in L.A. is hard to come by, but having to pay to park your vehicle or have a guest pay to park is not what I've come to expect from a hotel. I would recommend this hotel to others traveling to south L.A. (Culver City) area.

Well two things happened that was not expected and should have been communicated some how. First they charge for parking per night $14 I'm not being cheap but the hotel 1 mile away does not. Second is the biggest problem. When we checked in it was packed with convention people I mean packed my family wanted to have a nice relaxing time by the pool that would not happen. It is not the point of a convention but the type of convention that my 4 year old should have been introduced so soon it was the African American Gay Pride Convention. I mean how do I explain why there was multiple occasions that two men are kissing and why some men dress like women and then why do women dress like men and kiss other women. I can not believe we were not fair warned a shocking fourth of July vacation

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 30Good Value - Will stay there again
The hotel lobby is great. Very stylish and comfortable. My room wasn't ready right away but I was able to relax in their huge lobby and watch tv and handle some calls. A lot of people were staying at the Radisson but it never felt crowded. Staff at front desk were very polite. Didn't give me the room I requested. I didn't want to be on the side of the hotel next to the freeway because I'm a light sleeper. But surprisingly the freeway wasn't that noisy at night. Also they provide ear plugs which helped. I'm a light sleeper and I had no problems getting to sleep. Rooms were very clean. They can use some updating like replacing the peeling wall paper, doing some paint touch ups and getting flat screens, but the price I paid was very reasonable so I'm not complaining. Cleanliness is most important. Breakfast food was so delicious - they offer REAL FOOD. Eggs cooked to order and pancakes. Or if you're a light eater, have fresh fruit and cereal. What's nice is you can either pay a flat fee for the hot food buffet for breakfast or you can order specific menu items. I only went their for breakfast. The restaurant staff need to get organized. They need to coordinate who will wait on the table. Every 3 or 4 minutes someone was disturbing my meal and asking if I needed anything. That was annoying. But overall the location was fabulous. I didn't get lost and it only took a few minutes to drive from LAX. My aunt used their gym and said the equipment was great.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 30Great location, services
This is my hotel of choice in LA. It is convenient to the airport, and since I have family in LA and Culver City, it is a great location. They have recently upgraded the dining and entertaining area, and the change was a good one. This is the first time I've used hotels.com, and their rates are quite remarkable. We're coming back in a month or so, and those reservations are already made.

Our biggest issues were the lack of free breakfast and having to pay alot for parking. We asked the gal at the front desk if there was a continental breakfast. She said yes and directed us where to go the following morning. We did and the breakfast was good. Then I was slipped the bill for breakfast. 46.00 for an omlette and a couple strips of bacon? At least the look on my face made my family laugh. Any guest at any hotel should not have to pay ten dollars a day to park their vehicle- it should be part of the rate. They told us it was because everywhere close to the airport charged, but come on, we are staying there! What were we suppossed to do? Park our car at Target two miles down the street?
