About what I expected

Convenient to theairport and grocery and restaurant. The AC needed work -- the compressor had a vibration and the grill was loose. Looked like it was in the process of renovations, but I don't stay at DI's for 5-star accommodations. It was clean and reasonably priced and had decent breakfast choices.

Convienant

The Hotel room was nice with 2 full size beds.The location is cery close to the interstate and a short distance to the beach.

Needs Improvement

The location was not very accessable. The staff at the front desk really need some customer srvice training because they were not friendly and they were very short when it came to answering your questions. The hotel also needs some work because it is not in the best shape.

Very basic.

Various specific hotels in this chain seem to vary in quality. One might be nice in a small town, but another might be more dingy. I think this one is a little lower on the scale. The beds were uncomfortable, and the toilet had trouble completely flushing. WiFi was not available in the room I stayed in, however, it was accessible down by the front desk. The continental breakfast was so-so. I've been at other hotels in this chain where the items available were much better, with a better selection.

"NEEDS IMPROVEMENT"

The pool was in need of some serious "HELP!" Soda machines were empty from Tues- Friday. Thursday our room was half done(one bed was made, dirty towel left on the floor). Thr free breakfast was GREAT!

needs improvement

front desk staff was rude. housekeeping came into the room while we still sleeping, did not came late to clean the room, we spent two days without room service or towels. called front desk several times no one answer, then they sent a technician to fix the phone while we were trying to get clean towels.the room was ok on the first day. Noisy kids running on the hallway early in the morning.

Perfect for our needs

I went down to VA Beach with my two young daughters and this hotel fit our budget and had a pool. The staff at the reception was absolutely lovely; they gave us no problem about checking in at noon instead of waiting until 3:00 PM and, the moment after we walked into the room, gave a courtesy call to inquire whether everything in the room was as needed. We were there just overnight, but I was very impressed with their hospitality, friendliness and knowledge of the area. The location was fine, about ten minutes from the beach by car, and several excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity. After checkout, my 6 year old wanted to swim in the pool and they had no problem with that. OK, my bed was slightly hard, but hey, for the price, and with the rest of the experience, I hate to be nit-picking

Do not stay here

We had 4 rooms between us. Out of the 4 rooms 2 had mildewed rugs, one sink was not working, my sister was eaten by bugs during the night and she had to get her room changed in the next day, the 2nd room's bathroom toilet was not clean. The walk way to the rooms smelled of garbage.
