It was the second time my husband and I stayed in the Hotel Le Crystal. And the next visit to Montreal we will stay in that hotel again. Small, quite, gorgeous hotel with exellent service. This time we stayed in the Executive Suite. The room is big like a good size one bedroom appartment with two bathrooms, fireplace and balcony. But a little bit noisy from outside on Monday (our room was located on the 4th floor). Just get the room on higher floor. There is the indoor pool on 12th floor most of the time no people. We like this hotel a lot!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 3 of 14Great hotel, great location
Great hotel, small and intimate. Room was much smaller than anticipated from the pictures on their website. Bed was so packed into the room we kept bumping into the frame and came home with many bruises! Staff was great and friendly. Restaurant was terrible - awful service and very unfriendly. Front desk and concereige service was first class - very helpful. Location is great - very close to everything.

Our stay at Le Crystal was the highlight of our vacation. The room (deluxe suite) was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The Pool area was great. The salt water pool was fantastic and the pool area with the sun chairs was a delight. The floor to ceiling windows filled the room with sunlight and made the pool area a tropical setting even though it was the middle of winter in Montreal. However, what truly made the stay wonderful was the professional, detailed, friendly staff. I was impressed that they always very helpful and addressed me by name each time they say me. This hotel truly deserves it's 5 star rating. We did not eat at the restaurant because there were so many great restaurants and night life within walking distance from the hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 14Beautiful Hotel
We stayed here on our honeymoon. It was wonderfull. The rooms are larger sized, and the shower was amazing! This was our 4th time to Montreal, and we will stay here again when we come back. Very good location. A very nice hotel 2 blocks from all the nightlife. If you are younger and looking for fun. There are clubs just up the street!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 14Uncaring staff, don't value customers, new building with problems
There was a loud intermittent hum in our room. We realized we couldn't sleep with it going on and off all night. For one hour, we begged three times to be moved to another room and were repeatedly told there were no other rooms. A maintenance person came a few times without hearing the noise, when he finally witnessed it as it was fading out, he said it was a hair dryer! For the whole day? Desperate, we said we would check out and packed up and went next door to Novotel. When we came back to retrieve our luggage, the manager suddenly had another room, lower quality, that he could show us "At a discount". We had already booked next door. He told us we had to talk to the day manager to see if we didn't have to pay for the room! The next day the manager said that since it was a new hotel, there couldn't be a noise problem! Instead of investigating it! We paid a fee for the use of the pool and our food charges and were not required by law to pay for a room we walked out of. However, the manager spent alot of time jusifying not showing us another room. Spa personnel told us that the pipes burst on the pool floor a few weeks ago. the rooms are quite long and narrow, the bedroom, cell-like

We were very surprised at the excellent location! We were right near shopping, dining, nightlife and a quick trip to Old Montreal. The hotel itself is lovely and the service exceptional!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 14Almost perfect...
We loved the hotel and its young vibrant staff. Our only disappointment was with the 12th floor fitness area. The hotel has a gym, full service spa, sauna and open deck hot tub; all of which looked lovely. Unfortunately, the hours of "operation" changed daily and never seemed to jive with our comings and goings over our three night/four day stay. When we finally got a chance to get wet, we found the heated pool cold and the single, small hot tub crowded. We know this "complaint" sounds trivial, but we had specifically selected this hotel because of its statements concerning its health and fitness area?gym, sauna, heated salt water pool, etc.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 14Great hotel
Seemed to be a new hotel as it was so spotlessly clean with quite modern facilities. Upon arrival we were upgraded from a basic 'urban' room to a 'superior' room. Although the bed was only a queen, rather than a king which we prefer, we had a separate bedroom, small living room, kitchenette facilities, and large double sink bathroom with separate bath and shower. We had 2 tvs, 2 wardrobes and a great coffee maker. Our only problem was with the free high speed internet - it wasn't very speedy at all. But when we complained someone came up immediately to fix it, although unfortunately it dropped out again. The staff were very friendly and anything we asked for was delivered to our room promptly. The hotel is only a few blocks from the Arts museum and lots of shops and restaurants. The old city is also within walking distance.

Very nice hotel and the rooms are pretty spacious. I bit costly but you get what you pay for.
