Great Room.. Great Hotel.. Great Location

Went on a Girlfriend Trip to San Francisco. We spent weeks in advance picking a hotel room. Parc Fifty Five met all of our requirements: -Location -Price The added perks was that the hotel was very nice and stylish. The restaurant within the hotel was very delicious. And overall a good trip!

Parking is a joke

I think you should specify on your website that you have to pay 50 dollars for parking. The same amount that a non hotel guest has to pay. I think that is ridiculous and that the hotel guest should at the very least get a discount. Plus the valet guy was rude.

Fabulous hotel....clean, comfortable and welcoming. Easy access to BART and steps away from the cable cars on Powell St. Staff was helpful and I would definitely recommend a stay there.

More than I expected

Since the Bay Bridge was closed, we decided to look for a hotel in the city and found a great deal at this hotel. We stayed her on Halloween weekend. The location was close to everything...food, shopping, nightlife, movies, public transportation and more. The hotel entrance and lobby area is very spacious and the room was nicely organized. I would definitely stay here again even though I only live on the other side of the bay bridge. I felt like I was on vacation staying here.

Great location, quality, and price

Centrally located within easy walking distance to the union square shops and restaurants. Fantastic service, clean, and comfortable rooms.

Comfortable and well placed...

This hotel is well placed just below Union Square in SF, just a block from the cable car stop at Powell and Market. The AC was broken as we arrived but when we called it in a service man came by and fixed it to our satisfaction in just a little while. Well worth the money in my opinion.

it's the view

i have favorite hotels in san francisco. at first, i didn't think this would be one of them. hotels in san francisco are amazing -- so the great staff, the interesting architecture, the modern art, etc didn't really sway me one way or another. the bed was nice -- but not covered in pillows as some hotels are in SF. but what's amazing about this hotel is the view -- my view was nothing to look at in the day time. but once night fell, it was breath taking. i sat in the window and stared for hours. magical.

Nice hotel, but

The hotel was very nice, and definitely worth it. My only issue was that hotel parking was expensive. Driving around San Francisco was turned out to be pretty pricy.

Great Location but Noisy

If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of Union Square with the convenience of local transportation, this is your hotel. BART station is across the street along with the cable car, street car and taxi connections. Great shopping is also at your door step. However, the new management has not upgraded the windows from the previous Marriott days and even on the 22nd floor you can really hear the street noise. Staff was curtious and friendly; room-service average; however for a 4-Star rated hotel I was surprised that the room did not have a mini bar/refrigerator. Bathroom vanity also could use some updating. Otherwise the stay was good.

Great Renovation, Great Location

Only stayed one night.... wish it had been longer. I know people who have stayed at this hotel in the last year and complained about the renovations. The reno is done now and the place is beautiful. We arrived early & our room wasn't ready, but the hotel clerk entered my name on a priority check in list and got us a great room when we came back a few hours later. The location can't be beat. Step out of the BART station, walk one block, and you're there. Also very close to Union Square and the Bloomingdale's Mall on Market. Would stay at this hotel in the future without a doubt.

Nice, but.......

When we checked in, which was past the allowed check in time, our room wasn't ready. They said it would take about an hour to have it ready. We needed to change, so that we could get started with our day (we were only in town for one night). So they offered us a room with 2 double beds that was ready (we had requested a king size bed). Due to time, we took the double bed. The room was nice and the view was great. However, when it was time to sleep, the pillow choices were terrible. The 2 pillows they had were one, that was like sleeping on a cement curb and the other, which I switched to during the night, was way too soft and flat. Bottom line, this pretty expensive room was only worth the price for the location and cleanliness, other than that, it was not very good.
