Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 419Beautiful Hotel but lousy parking
Such nice hotel right in downtown SF. But the parking was ridiculous. I stayed 1 night and the charge to park my car in their garage $50!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 419Pleasant Experience
The Parc Fifty Five Hotel was overall, a very nice hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful with all our tourist questions. The building was impeccably clean. The location was very convenient with the cable car station only one block away. We were upgraded to a 26th floor room with a view of the water during the day, and the beautiful skyline at night. The room was very modernized with a digital central-air style climate control...no bathroom exhaust fan. This ended up being a slight drawback, as the noise from the Saturday downtown nightlife echoing off the buildings, reminded me of a kids playground. Also, parking was a C note for two days, and caught us offguard, even though this is typical for downtown SF.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 419Great Location
The hotel was very nice, great location, walking distance to many things. Staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Our only complaint is you do hear the traffic and street noise even though we were on the 19th floor. Good value for the money in San Francisco

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 419Great View and Location
The renovation was well done. Registration desk and bar/restaurant was beautiful. The bar had yummy drinks and great happy hour specials. The room was great with an amazing view of the city. King size bed was super comfortable...hard to leave in the morning. The room service staff was quick and friendly. Everyone at the front desk was helpful. The hotel was located right behind the powell street BART station, shopping, cable cars, restaurants.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 419Great Location - Poor customer service
As far as location goes, you are in the middle of everything, very close to the cable cars, shopping and dining. Nice hotel, rooms were clean and very adequate. My only complaint would be that some (not all) of the staff was very rude and unaccommodating! We arrived at the hotel a little early, around 1:30pm and wanted to see if we could check in early, which we couldn't, but that is not what bothered me. When we asked when a room would be ready, she could not give us a definitive time, just that we would have to come back and check. I asked if they would call us and she quickly answered no and I asked if it will be ready by 3pm which is the official check in time and all she could tell me is that she doesn't know, maybe and I would have to check back. The other problem we had was when we checked out we wanted to keep our luggage at the hotel so that we could eat and shop since our flight was not until later that evening. The guy at the desk just quickly glances at our luggage and tells us he will take everything except the laptops, so we had to lug these 10lb computer bags with us all day walking around SF. I have left my laptop at other hotels with no problems. My issue with the staff I had dealt with at the hotel was their unwillingness to provide other options for us (i.e we can call you when you're room is ready; we can't take your laptop here at the hotel, but you can take it to such and such place.)

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 419Great hotel - iffy location
The hotel is great. If you can get a corner room, you'll get a 270 degree view of San Francisco. But the corner rooms have queen beds (for the most part). The neighborhood is convenient and centralized, but loud at night and borders on the Tenderlion, which is SF at it's worst.

Very Clean,If you fly take the Bart Transportation as it will drop you off right in front of the hotel for very little cost. Easy public Transportation around town from this hotel. Dinner in the hotel was good also.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 419Perfect Location
If you want a hotel with perfect access to all modes of public transportation, PLUS a central location near the best restaurants and attractions, then this is it! No white robes in the closet, no chocolates on the pillows each night, no free continental breakfast, but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was efficient, courteous and helpful. We will stay here again on our next trip to San Francisco!
