Not what one would expect

$32 to park, $20 for internet, $10 to use the exercise room, $5 to use the elevator(just kidding about that last one but seriously there is a fee for everything in this hotel!) Hotel is in a great downtown location. Rooms are dated big time for the quality of hotel this is supposed to be. The rooms are not that luxurious, looks like they cut corners on decorating to save money(CRT TV's seriously?). Bath rooms lack sophistication, just an open space no separate shower, tub or lavatory space. Front desk staff are incompetent and are not empowered to handle even the most mundane issues.

Awesome Hotel

The hotel experience at Manchester Grand Hyatt was amazing. Great service, friendly staff, awesome pool, GREAT location. Will stay at this hotel every time I go to San Diego.

Great Stay, Perfect Location, Would recommend and stay again

We got a great deal on hotels.com, stay 3 nights get the 4th free. The hotel def met our expectations. It was classy. The pool was great. Location was great. Great view even from a room not on the bay side. Next time might be worth the extra money for that view. The beds were super comfy. Room service was quick. The shampoo, conditioner and lotion they gave you were ginger scented, kinda yucky if you ask me! Staff was friendly and helpful when we were asking about touristy things. Gave great recommendations. The coffee at the shop in the lobby was fantastic! Seaport Village is just behind the hotel. You're within walking distance of the USS Midway, Maritime Museum, Gaslamp District and Petco Park. The pool provides you with towels and there's waitress service at the pool. I would def recommend this hotel and stay there again!

Loved my stay

Excellent hotel and great location. Right outside the hotel door was Seaport Village with lots of restaurants and stores to browse. The USS Midway aircraft carrier museum was within walking distance. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great Location, but room needs improvement.

We happened to be in San Diego the same time as the Comic Con Convention. We wanted to stay in the Gaslamp district, but we couldn't find a room under $400. We ended up staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt based on price. The location is good, it backs up to the Seaport Village which was lovely to walk around and grab something to eat. The views from the hotel are really nice too (backs up to the Marina). It was also a short walk to gaslamp. My only issue with the hotel was that the rooms were dated and could have used some "sprucing up". I would have prefered more contemporary linens and the room didn't feel as "clean" as I would have liked. But, it was priced well and the location was good.

Great hotel

I stayed there for pride weekend with a few friends and had a wonderful time. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Checking in was no problem at all, they had everything correct. Parking is 22 dollars a night (which i was unaware of) but over all it was GREAT!. I would definitely recommend!

Summer Special

Took advantage of the summer special - book two nights get one free. I had visited this hotel previously and liked all the amenities. It did not disappoint - pool staff friendly and attentive. Concierge also very helpful!
