Excellent Hotel in Good Location

I was at the Hyatt for a conference at the San Diego Convention Center. The hotel is a walking distance from the center and it was very convenient.

Hotel Rates

The Hotel overall was a nice place to stay at. Interestingly enough though, I recieved a better room rate though hotels.com then going through the hotel directly. As it turned out, I had to stay at the hotel for a conference that was job related, the rate was nowhere reasonable as what hotels.com offered.

Outstanding Hotel

This hotel is truly beautiful. The lobby is breathtaking from its size and elegance. The "Top of the Hyatt" lounge has a great ambiance and amazing views. The room itself had a beautiful view of the harbor and a very comfortable bed and the shower had great water pressure too, which seems to be rare these days. I enjoyed a meal with room service but did not have the chance to check out the restaurants though they looked beautiful when I was walking through the hotel. I wish I wasn't visiting this hotel on a business trip so that I could have enjoyed all the amenities more! Worth every penny!

Try the Marriott or another close by

Checking in on Saturday for 3 night stay, there was a hotel party at the swimming pool with a loud band until 1 am all we could hear in our room was the thump of the loud base. Of course the Manager and Asst Manager were not taking phone calls.....( we were on the 12 th floor )

Great Location

Parling is excessive - though you can park about a block away for have the price. Don't expect to get into the parking with a SUV clearance is low - though at $32 valet said they would park it :-) When they say full service it indicates that they will be happy to take all of your money.

Beautiful hotel; great location

This is a top-notch hotel in a perfect location, minutes from the harbour, various tourist attractions, the Gas Light District & the convention center. I was on a business trip & there was one reception at this hotel. Food & service were excellent. Convention center is a 5-10 minute walk; baseball stadium 12-15 minute walk. Very pleased. My only criticism is that the windows needed to be washed! I had a view of the harbour, and was disappointed to look through dirty windows.
