Very good location if you are going on a carnival cruise. we just walked down to the ship from the hotel. the room was also very nice and spacious.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 49Great for a Getaway
My husband and I stayed here for one night over Labor Day weekend with two small children. Pros: Unbeatable location on Long Beach Harbor, great pool area, nice room amenities, great views from room, easy access to downtown Long Beach using a bus or boat, nice restaurant on property (Fuego). Cons: Room oddly configured, AC very loud but not all that effective, food choices on property limited to Fuego restaurant.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 49Good room for the price
Nice motel considering the location and what we paid. Bed were comfortable and the motel was recently renovated. The only thing we didn't like was how noisy the air conditioner was.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 49Great Hotel, Just Replace the A/C Units!
The Hotel is totally remodeled and is in muchh better shape than when it was The Westcoast Hotel. However, they seem to overlook updating the A/C in the rooms. My 1st Room the air was broken and the 2nd room barely worked and was so noisy that it was difficult to sleep.

This hotel looks homely when you first approach it (though the fact that it was under construction probably influenced this) but upon entry into your room, your jaw will drop. The room was amazingly clean, stylish and up to date. It even had a stereo unit with an ipod/iphone dock. My wife and I were beyond pleasantly surprised!

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 49Great deal
Stayed overnight to break up a long drive home. Hotel was under construction (and therefore got an amazing deal), so many services were unavailable but we still thoroughly enjoyed the room. Great view of Long Beach off our patio and the room was wonderful. It's a bit difficult to get food as you have to head over toward the Pike, but it's only a 5 minute drive. I can tell that it'll be a beautiful facility once the massive renovations are complete and would absolutely consider staying there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 49Our second visit, would go again.
Overall the hotel was very nice. Tt is still under construction, but we really were not inconvenienced by it. The continental breakfast could have been better,no variation, got old after three days. The pool was not operational, a bummer for the teenagers. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The patios and walkways needed to be cleaned. It would be nice if they would wave the parking fees. We stayed in this hotel two years ago before they remodeled, the location is really neat because you look out on the bay.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 49Outstanding Hotel, hotel MAya
I have been there on the memorial weekend, greatest thing to me was that we could bring dog in the guestroom. Inside of guestroom was clean and stylish. I loved to stay there, Hotel Maya, even they were under construction; we could not use any other services like pool, room service, etc. We are wating to visit Hotel Maya after their remodelling is done.

The room was great and the staff friendly! There was construction, but the hotel lowered the rates and the we new it going in. We would book it again, especially to see it when it's all finished!

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 49Lots of renovating
The hotel was nice, we liked it. There was a lot of work being done on it though so it looked rather torn apart. Nice location and staff. Confusing when trying to get there, better directions would help. Overall, we liked it.

The waterfront is littered with trash and the remodeling project has shuttered the hotel's restaurant. Although the rooms were clean and comfortable, the feeling was one of a cheap hotel, something that woud be more fitting along a freeway exit than along prime waterfront real estate. The exit to get to the hotel is inconvenient; there was no sundry shop; they charged $10 per day for parking. I don't recall any of these details being listed in the hotels.com description.
