Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 2 de 83Great Getaway
Beautiful location on the water with great views. Fntastic continental breakfast and friendly staff. Nice decor and ammentities in room. Having traveled a lot with laptop and phones and cameras to charge it was refreshing to see a more than adequate amount of receptacles in the room to power and charge all the devices. It can be tricky getting from the main road to the hotel but once you have been in an out a couple times you know exactly where to turn.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 4 de 83Nice hotel but AC units need replacing
The major complaint that I have in regards to this hotel are the old and very, very noisy AC units. Mine worked just OK and the noise level was just way too high. I had to turn it off when I was on the phone and it was also difficult to sleep with it on but it was summer so I had no choice. Also, the rooms have very nice balconies but unfortunately you cannot enjoy them due to the noise coming from the AC units. Even if I turned mine off, the sound of the other AC units going in nearby rooms made it unpleasant to sit out on the balcony at all due to the noise level. The management really needs to address this issue because they are spoiling an otherwise nice room and great balcony. More minor issues: The hotel is isolated and it is a bit tricky to find the right turn off even with a GPS. There was only a pedestal sink in the bathroom so there is no place to even set down a toothbrush not to mention a hot curling iron. And although I understand and am behind conservation, the water pressure in the shower was horrible and forced me to decide to not wash my hair during my two day stay…I would have been in there rinsing for an hour! Other then that I was very pleased with this hotel and it just went through a major renovation which is stunning. I loved the changing, colored lighting that shines on the outside of the buildings. The lobby area’s and bar/restaurant looked great and my room was very nice and spacious. However, be prepared for a Hispanic decorating theme in which they use all the colors of the rainbow in the same room. The bed was very comfy with lots of pillows which I like. Their restaurant was excellent (I highly recommend the blue crab maize crepes for dinner and the flourless chocolate cake with strawberry mango relish was yummy!) and it is very pleasant place to sit outside and enjoy the great views of the Long Beach skyline. There is also a nice walking path that goes along the water. On my 2nd night there they had their grand opening party and it wa

The rooms are clean and nice, Free internet, the view of the bay is incredible, you can see the light house, the bridge across the bay has coool colored lights, the completed renovations to the lobby and restauranut are really nice. This hotel is off the beaten path a little, but that is part of what makes it so cool. I have seen other reviews and others saying they would not stay here. I am really not sure what they are looking for. This place is nice, expecially if you get a room with a view of the bay. You can jog along the bay, fish, ar just sit back and relax.

There is some construction around the hotel. Expect to wake up at 700AM when construction starts.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 7 de 83Good property - hard to get to, charge for parking
Property and rooms are very nice but signage to property is too small and there are so many cross roads and wrong turns it is very hard to find/get to. Also, they gouge guests $10/day for parking even though the lot is at least 50% empty all the time.

The staff was amazing, along with my room, views and overall service. Convenient free bus service, great Mexican food. For the price & what I received- I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Much more of a resort feel than your typical hotel.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 9 de 83Nice location, good restaurant, but ask questions
This was a nice hotel with the new renovation and good for the price. But, ask questions! The staff was very friendly and upgraded my room, but nothing was mentioned about being in room next to a room with a dog. I love dogs, but not barking ones at 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The room was fine, although what I'm assuming was newer carpet from the renovation was dirty. I always wear socks in hotels for that reason and this time my socks were particularly dirty. I'm guessing this may be because there have been dogs in this room before, since there are no designated pet rooms. Also, I was in an ajoining room and could hear the neighbors conversation very clearly. On the plus side, the room was large with a great view of Long Beach and very comfy bed. The balcony is a nice feature as well. The restaurant Fuego was excellent...food, setting and atmosphere. It's a hotel with much going for it. If they work out the designated pet room issue, it will eliminate 2 of the issues I wrote about...being awakened in the middle of the night and the dirty pet Xander carpets. So, ask questions before booking to see if these have been addressed...if it matters to you.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 10 de 83Outstanding Hotel
The beds were very comfortable and the decor was interesting. The rooms were fairly clean, although I do not know how the maid missed the HUGE spider with its dinner in my room. I called the front desk and the took care of it. The water pressure was great. The view and location was perfect for the convention. I would stay again.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 12 de 83Renovations are complete!!!
We were going to be staying at another hotel, but after reading the reviews we decided to try this one. We were a little concerned about the mention of the renovations but decided to go anyway. We were pleasantly surprised at how the hotel looked. The receptionist told us the renovations were complete. We loved our room, had great house keeping. We had a great and private view of the ocean. We were going to the convention center every day it was a very easy trip. Nice quiet location. Only glitch we had was a dead cockroach- by our slider door- they obviously sprade cuz it was dead. Other then that everything was wonderful and we are going back again

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 13 de 83Great View
The Maya is the latest incarnation of this hotel perched on the mouth of the Los Angeles River. The view of the Long Beach skyline is terrific, as are the new lap pool and outdoor lounging areas. The hotel has just reopened and regular food service was not available during our stay. Breakfast was okay, but overpriced. The only complaint we had was the very loud air conditioners, but within the room and from other units in adjacent rooms.

The rooms are very modern, nice interior, flat screen tv, very comfortable but my only gripe is that it is under construction. I knew this before hand but did they have to start working at 6 am!

Hotel under construction and not completed as stated. You checkin in a guest room. Old hotel with new paint job. Whoever heard of a hotel with a pedestal sink and no place to even set down a toothbrush?
