Great room for the money

We had an early flight out of Tampa and chose to spend the night before at the LaQuinta Inn. We got a fine room for a low price. The staff was polite; the room was clean and comfortable.

Should've paid more

Two major, and one minor negative impressions were left by this hotel for me: 1. "Their" shuttle picked us up and, once enroute to the hotel, the driver informed me there would be a per-person charge for the ride (adding a noticable amount to the over-all cost of the hotel). Personally, I wouldn't consider our route's distance excessive or out of the norm either. --We stayed at a different hotel at the beginning of our vacation and that hotel's shuttle was provided as a free service. 2. Our initial room smelled heavily of smoke. We were promtly given a second room which smelled fine. --But the carpet was very dirty; leaving the bottom of my white socks a dark brown color by the time I took them off for bed. 3. Just be aware that there's no elevator. It's only 2 floors though. Not that big of a deal for us. But if you are traveling with heavy bags or something, just be aware of this. Had I known of these facts, I would've certainly paid 25-40 bucks more for a higher quality hotel in the area.

DIRTY floors!!!!

We stayed for 2 nights. The carpet was so dirty I couldn't let my kids walk on it barefooted.

Needs Major Improvements

First the room did not have a refrigerator nor a microwave in it, pool closed by Health Department, no working Ice Machines, one coke machine with "Coca Cola" Products was out of order as well. The price was a good rate, however one does expect the amenities like a fridge, microwave and a working pool.

Good room, good price and greal location

I recommand this hotel. Check in and check out is done in seconds. Customer service is wonderful, free Internet, free breakfast and room is cleaned daily....You feel so excited to get to your room. It is really a wonderful experience. Definitely, it is much much better than hotel in its level. and most importantely, the price is great for the kind of service we got. I will definitely go back to Laquinta.

Comfortable place to stay

Close to airport. Had a shuttle that picked us up for free (blue one transport). Clean room. Free continental breakfast.

Needs Improvement

Front Desk could have been more helpful. It was difficult to get them to provide their shuttle service. In room movie order did not work and took 1-2 hours and lots of walks and calls to the front desk to get working.

Was close to the airport and had a shuttle service to and from the airport which is what I needed.

Could Have Been Better

The hotel was not bad, a little less then expected but easy to find and near the mall and airport. Was a little suprised to find my door half way taped up and the air conditioner covered for painting when I got back at night with my one year old. The room was 90 degrees as the air was covered. The front desk was not much help that night. The next day I awoke to more masking for painting then paint fumes. I had to check out early because of the smell. The front desk said they were suprised by the painting when they put us there on friday. They did comp the room at my request to the manager, however the regular desk staff was less then curtious and somewhat argumentative. They did leave a message to the room about moving to the 2nd floor, after I had left for the day and promised minimum inconvience. Not quite sure what they were thinking, especially when they offered a 2nd floor room at 10:00 pm that night but did not want to help me move with my one year old.

Great customer service!

People were very friendly and accomodating. I traveled with my two grandchildren. They wanted to swim the next morning before we left but the pool was scheduled to be cleaned. The gentleman in charge said he could do other chores for a couple hours and come back to clean the pool so the kids could go swimming. What great customer service!

Exactly what I was looking for.

Wanted something for one night, close enough to the airport with shuttle to the airport and the price was right. Wake up call was on time, everything was just perfect.
