Great hotel for weekend getaway

We stayed at the Golden Inn with a group of friends for a 25th birthday. My boyfriend and I had a room in the west wing of the hotel, which is the newer wing, and were surprised to see our nicely appointed room had a kitchenette, two queen beds, a pull out sofa and a nice covered balcony with chairs (although it faced the parking lot). Our friends room was on the east side of the hotel and had a view of the pool and shore, but wasn't nearly as large or modern. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel's location and amenities. I especially enjoyed being able to walk right off the beach to the tiki bar and restrooms. Our group of friends were hoping that there would be more of a social scene nearby, so definitely know what to expect when you go... you'll probably want to rely on being entertained by your own group of friends and shouldn't count on meeting a lot of young singles. My boyfriend and I will definitely go back though, as it's an inexpensive way to get to the shore for a weekend.

Golden Inn Hotel

We had the bad luck of making a reservation during a special weekend event. The restaurant was full of large noisy groups and we were not able to order off the posted menu.

Day at the Beach

Comfortable, older hotel that has been adequately updated. The rooms were clean and "roomy" but the advertised WiFi did not extend to our part of the complex. The pool and cabana area was cool and perfect for having a drink and watching the kids in the pool. The beach was very close and convenient but you need to have a beach tag, available at the desk with a refundable deposit.

Great for the money

Convenient to everything. 1 minute walk to beach, great poolside bar. Great room quality. Great rate.
