Outstanding offseason deal on room for nights stay!

Excellent Hotel

Two queen beds was a nice touch. Hotel being adjacent to the Beach was very convenient. Balcony was not clean, lights were out, and the bathroom supplies were never replenished. For the later two items we had to call the front desk a couple of times to get it fixed. Pool was small, but the kids enjoyed it

Great Place to Stay

Loved the hotel and would love to stay there again. Helpful staff and very clean rooms.

Solid Place to stay

Nice comfortable place to stay. Nothing stellar, but a fine older building. Wireless access in the room was remarkably stable . On minor nit was a surcharge for the right to have a telephone (used or unused) in the room. It was very trival, but it required an additional charge on my credit card a check out. If I can't opt out of having the phone and hence the surcharge, but it on the regular bill.

aged hotel

The service was fine and the people were very nice. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. However, the overall condition of the hotel was run down. It is an older hotel than I expected and the pool was very small, mostly for young children. The view of the ocean can only be seen by the ocean front top level rooms. Unfortunately the poolside was enclosed with landscaping so that you were not able to view the ocean at all. I would not return.

Great Hotel

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Golden Inn. The location couldn't be better, right across from the beach. The hotel provided lounge chairs and umbrellas right on the beach. The pool was a nice size and there was a tiki bar with tables. The room was very nicely decorated with very comfortable beds and pillows and with a private balcony. I'm a long-time Jersey girl and had never stayed at Avalon, but would definitely go back and stay here.

Great Hotel

A North East get a way, with a Tikki Bar and live music. I felt like I was in Jamaica. The kids loved the pool. And the beach was a very short walk in the backyard! Clean and updated room. Food was good at the restaurant and you cant beat the price with kids eat free!!

Better than most in the area

The Golden Inn tries hard to be a classy hotel. There is a doorman complete with pith helmet and lovely lobby decor. The rooms are large and the toiletries are nice. They have a great pool area complete with a bar and food service. The only issue we had was the service in the dining room. It was poor. We waited over 25 minutes for simple lunches (burger & cheeses steak). Servers were pleasant but slow. The breakfast buffet was worth the money. But, the english muffin in my eggs benedict (ordered off the breakfast menu) was really stale. When I mentioned it to the server she didn't really respond.

A Great Deal!

This hotel is beautiful, clean, well-kept, and the staff was terrific. I think it's the Jersey shore's best kept secret! Our destination was Wildwood, but the hotel was just a short drive away--and much quieter! Oh, and the beach is lovely, too.

GREAT VALUE

Everthing went well, except the parking lot was empty and they still could not give me an earlt check in at2pm on a rainy weekend.
