Great Hotel

Everything was great, just fix the other lift and don't charge 10.00 for parking but even that was no big deal. Thanks for making our get away special...

Classic Studio City hotel.

The style is something furniture buffs and classic movie fans will adore. My wife and I loved the pool-side bar and went for a swim in the signature Sportman's Lodge pool. While we were there, we saw the cast of a very popular network TV show. We also had the opportunity to eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which was very tasty. Although the technology at the hotel itself is not state-of-the-art and it is rather dimly-lit in spots, it does take you back about 40 or 50 years and has an overall nostalgic atmosphere. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give The Sportsman's Lodge an 8.

Repeat stay!

We keep coming back to this hotel because of the great location! What a great hotel.

Great room for the money.

Just like the title says, the place is big, clean, and had really nice look to it.

Always great!

I've stayed here a few times and it's always a good choice. The only problem we had was that we had booked a king size bed and they gave us a room with 2 queens. We had to call a couple times but eventually they did change our room. Other than that, we love this hotel. It's a great value for the money & it's in a good location. They have a restaurant there that is really cute but it's right next to Jerry's Famous Deli which is highly recommended! They have great food and it's open all night. If your not from the area it's cool to walk up and down Ventura Blvd. It's definitely a safer area than Hollywood but still close to all the tourist stuff. They do charge $10 a night for parking which I think is pretty lame. Overall though, it's a nice place. They have a huge Olympic sized pool and a spa. Jets aren't too powerful but it feels great nonetheless. We got in there after 9 pm, when it closes but none of the people who worked there seemed to care, which was awesome. The soap & shampoo is from Bath & Body Works and it smells good. Not your usual cheap hotel soap.This is a great place to stay!

Got a great deal

We were offered a deal through hotels.com, so the price we payed was great! Had we payed the regular price I'm not sure we would have stayed here. Older hotel, but was kept up fairly well. Some maintenance work was being done while we were there.
