Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 45Very clean and updated room
The outside is a bit dated, but the lobby is more modern. I was a little weary. The hallways were dated. The room, however, was very clean and updated. The bed was comfortable. All the room have balcony's or patio, so you can hear noises outside, not to bad though, unless you are facing the pool during pool hours. For the price and location I would stay here again.

Sportsmen's Lodge is a gem of a hotel/resort. The location is great, convenient to both canyon and freeway access to the city and yet still has that getaway from it all feel to it. The staff is top notch, very friendly and helpful. I extended my stay a couple of days and they were able to accommodate me without any inconvenience. The Patio Cafe has the best orange juice around!! Honestly cannot say enough good things about the hotel. I'll be back in a few weeks!!

I needed a hotel near the Galleria and the hotel was conveniently located. The staff were friendly, helpful, and available to answer questions. Even though the restaurant didn't open until 7 am, there was a Starbucks right across the street.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 45Almost exactly what I was looking for
For what I needed, the location of the hotel was outstanding. The room is a bit outdated but very clean. The bed was comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. Room services was efficient and reasonably priced for a hotel. My one complaint was with parking. I wasn't aware ahead of time that there was a charge to park. The parking lot was virtually empty but I still had to pay their parking fee.

This hotel is for those who want something a little different without sacrificing the satisfaction of a good hotel. It's reminiscent of "The Parker" in Palm Springs, without trying so hard.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 45Surprisingly a very great stay
I say surprisingly because the hotel was so affordable that I had gone in expecting a Motel 6 type of feel, but I was very mistaken. This hotel has a rustic feel to it, but the staff, and general feel of the hotel are definitely 4 star or better. The pool was well taken care of and I was surprised to see such a large and maintained outdoor area in the hotel. The rooms were nothing luxurious, but were great rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable and again, not expected for this price. I would definitely come back again.
