Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 53Great Hotel with surprising few amenities
This is a beautiful hotel in a convenient location. The room was very quiet considering the area. Maid service was very attentive. I would note that the amenities are relatively few--I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel room in the US that didn't have an ironing board, microwave or coffeemaker in the room. The pillows on the bed were skimpy in both volume and number compared with everything else in the room.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 53The best hotel I have ever spent the night at in Manhattan!
I have been going to New York for 25 years and this Hotel was the best experience hands down. The doorman was the best source of information and always in a great mood. He unfailingly opened the door and never once was inattentive. He was friendly yet kept the front area moving outside the Hotel. The whole staff did everything they could to assist us for a delightful stay. The cleanliness and attention to detail has made this my "new " favorite hotel. Any issues or questions were addressed quickly and professionally. In general I have not ever stayed at a hotel where I can not even suggest an area of improvement. The location midway between Central Park and Times Square was excellent for the whole weekend. I appreciated the whole experience. Thanks for the wonderful room.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 53My first choice in Theater District!
Great hotel in the heart of the theater district. we walked to all our shows in a couple of minutes and hung out in Time Square. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was extremely comfortable and plush. The rate was consistent with many other hotels in the area and the hotel is probably better than most. We were on the third floor and were suprised at how quiet the rooms was. I would definitely stay here again! The only downside: no coffee maker or iron. They delivered both upon request but you have to provide your own coffee.

Close to Broadway, Madison and 5th Ave. Many restaurants near the hotel. Is a bit noisey on lower floors.(street noise) The garbage is picked up daily and we heard that.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 53Great rate, great location
The Michelangelo is a fantastic hotel in Midtown Manhattan, just four blocks from Times Square, two blocks from Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue, and ten blocks from Central Park. The staff and service are as good as it gets and the concierge in particular is very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to the business or the vacation traveler.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 53Oustanding hotel in a great location
Wonderful location in the heart of the Theater District. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff corrected those minor things we found with graciousness and speed. The mezz is currently undergoing renovations and the hotel is working around that rather well.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 53good service & style - no view or cellular signal
The hotel is very gracious -- beautiful decor and lovely rooms. Front desk staff was very helpful, but the concierge was not very good. The only drawback was that we had NO cellular reception on our floor so that we could not use our phones or laptop air card. Also, there was no view and our window afforded virtually no day light.

I really felt comfortable at the Michaelangelo. The place was very convenient, clean and the staff was very accomodating. The room was spacious, and surprising quiet, considering the location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 53Lovely room - location
Great location for shows. Room was large for New York. View was inside, but just as soon the peace and quiet vis-a-vis a street view. Everyone was courteous and prompt. Didn't expect the complimentary breakfast buffet with croisants and cafe latte. I could have found something for maybe $40 less, but Michelangelo's reviews were so great and it was for only a night.

This is a beautiful hotel with spacious, clean rooms. It is located in the heart of Times Square and everything is within walking distance if you do not want to take a cab. This is OUR choice when we go to NYC!!!!
