Needs Improvement

I booked this room thinking that I would be staying on the strip and arrived to find that this was not not the case. I arrived at a very rundown looking hotel which was located several miles from the beach. They were working on the hotel, but it looked as though it was not even open. I walked in to find chairs on the tables of a resturant that was suppose to be open. The pool which was only 5 feet deep but clean and an old scary looking elevator. These was a weird scent throughout the hotel, but when I got to me room it was clean and cool. I found everything I needed inside except for an iron. When I went downstairs to inquire on things to do locally, I was was given very good suggestions from a friendly staff and printed directions. For the money I paid, I expected more because in order to be anything on the strip I had to pay for parking, but overall it was a good experience. If you want something off of the beaten path, I would stay here. It is need of renovations, but they were working on it while I was staying there, so it may be better now.

Mold

Some of our party found mold in there rooms growing on the ceiling. We elected to stay as our room was OK-relatively clean and mold free. As we were in the area to stay at the beach, we weren't overly concerned with the accomodations. That being said, the hotel clearly has a mold problem and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Great for short stays

This hotel is easy access to the bypass exits (to Hwy 17). I'd recommend this hotel for short stays in MB (1 or 2 nites). Nothing luxurious; just a hotel.

Great for money

Loved the hotel for the price staff very friendly and helpful everything was very nice a little older but still good only complaint the pool closes at 9pm after a show would be nice to go swimming

Great for your money

This hotel was great for your money..we enjoyed the pool it was nice..We are 23 years old all we really needed was a place to shower and catch a few hours of sleep this hotel was good for that purpose.

Needs improvement

The overall was pretty good, but not that close to the beach. The main problem was the book in the room said breakfast lasted until 10 but really was 9 so we missed breakfast the very 1st morning and there was signs everywhere talking about a new vending room with all kinds of snacks, sandwiches, drinks, ect. that did not exist. The excuse from the front desk about both was that they hadnt had time to take down the signs but they were up our whole stay and we were there 4 nights.

You get what You pay for!!!

I am a freshman in college and went to Myrtle Beach for senior week 09. I went with two of my best friends also freshman. We booked this Hotel because we were looking for the CHEAPEST hotel that had a free breakfast, and would let us stay without an adult over 21. The phrase "you get what you pay for" really comes in handy whan I think about our stay! The hotel is about a 8-13 min drive to the beach depending upon traffic, which was a bummer loading everything in the car and driving everywhere and then back too. We paid for the double non-smoking, the room was nothing special, but 3 days into our stay they asked us to pack up and move 3 doors down because they were spraying Pestaside in our room, for complaints of bugs earlier..... The "ocntinental" breakfast was cold cereal and tasteless waffels. The one Jacuzzi was closed all week for reasons unknown and the pool was closed for two days. All in all the hotel had to meet my expectations for the price we paid. I would NOT reccomend this to anyone, especially the family sort!

great spot

we want not to party so much as to relax and see some sights. it was close to the former hard rock park (i don't remember the new name, however it was great) and it was still close enough to the strip without getting puked on my collage kids... it was clean for the price and in a 'safe' spot, the breakfast was not good but just a short walk is a little diner type place that was GREAT

Bikeweek 2008

I booked this hotel originally due to it's price. It is centrally located in Myrtle Beach. It is about 10 minutes from the strip, so when you head to your room at the end of the night, you can actually get some sleep. The staff was very nice and courteous. I have already booked it again for next year.

Great for the money

Get some better pillows!
