Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 30Great room for the money
I was pleased with the staff at this hotel the front desk guy was great. The room was ok you get what you pay for. I had 2 rooms there and one was not cleaned the way it should have been and breakfast was till 9 but at 8:45 we were told we missed it so my boys had to wait longer till I found a place for them to eat. When the room being clean was brought to the attention of managment the my cousin who was in the room was called a liar. I did not find this to be very satisfying of a way to address our issues. but the hotel was good for the money and the pool was nice.

the hotel staff were very friendly, provided information on various activities going on in the community. The breakfast was okay, more variety Monday thru Friday.

We booked this hotel for a family outing and reserved 8 rooms requesting them at least reasonably close. Checked in all 8 rooms and were spread through 4 floors. The only thing pleasant about this hotel was the staff, but they were limited in what they could do. 5 of the 8 rooms had maintenance problems of some sort ranging from plumbing to no working phone. In our room the phone not only didn't work, but the wires had been removed in the wall. Would have appreciated being warned. The smoke alarm clicked all night and a dead roach was by the A/C and not picked up the next day of cleaning. Also a towel and washrag looked to have been run over by the cart and hung anyway. Only 1 elevator worked, only 1 ice machine was running and the pool was either open or closed based on who was on duty. I agree with another review that pool should be opened later. Food ran out both mornings by 8:30. The staff was as accomodating as possible but this facility is in desperate need of updating. Also web site said some rooms had microwave and refrigerator, but failed to state that there was a $10 per item per day charge and some rooms would mean possible 20 out of 170 (only 1 of our 8 rooms had one). The location was the only plus, but definitely not worth the money

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 30Not bad for the money
Very adequate for a short stay. Wouldn't want to be there more than a day or two. Room was clean, not sparkling, but clean. Positive report, one of the quietest rooms been in for quite a while

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 30Good access to the Myrtle Beach area for a reasonable price
Starting out the parking lot was well lit and seemed safe. The lobby, lounging/breakfast area, front desk, hallways, and pool area were clean and presentable. Front desk personnel were pleasent. The room and bathroom was clean, TV worked, AC a bit loud for my light sleeping. towels could use some upgrading. Overall, a good room. Check out was a sinch. 5 minutes to airport and mall and 10 minutes to the beach. Great location for the buck.

Location, Location, Location. The location of this hotel is just terrible, you have to drive for a few miles to actually go into the city. This is terrible especially if you want to have a few drinks at night. NOTHING is within walking distance of this place. The staff is terrible. We got in early, about 1PM and asked if we could check in as we had been driving for quite a while, and they wouldn't let us until 3PM. So we went out to kill the 2 hours, we got back around 2:30, we sat there until about 15 minutes before 3PM and someone comes in and checks in just fine. The staff SAW US SITTING THERE FROM 2:30 and did nothing. Then after we got our keys, they didn't work, so I had to go back down and waste another 5 minutes of my time. The only thing that saved this hotel from a 1 was the fact that the room itself wasn't all that bad. It was what you would expect. It was clean enough and didn't smell, the bed was decent, and the pillows were terrible.

There was an awful smell and could not stand it. I also received pink eye in both eyes, I cannot prove that it was actually the hotel, but lets just say that I woke up with both eyes sealed shut with nasty goop.
