Good Valve

Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. Waffle Shop on site had EXCELLENT waffles. Jacuzzi/Pool. Located convinently to freeways and shopping areas. Downtown San Diego was only a 10 minute drive by freeway. Room was clean. Beds were soft.

It is true you get what you pay for. But in this case it was a good thing. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and nice. The two restaurants were good to eat at. We got a 15% discount at the Amigo Spot for dinner. and a free waffle breakfast at the Waffle Spot. The only bad thing about the rooms are the walls are a bit thin. We could hear the television from the room next door, but it wasnt loud. The plumbing was a tad loud. When one of us flushed we could hear the water in the pipes but that went away after a minute. All in all, a good place to stay.

Good bang for the buck

I received friendly service and good recommendations at the desk , got good rest each night, and was located near everything I needed to be. No complaints.

Needs Improvement

We were very diapointed as we have stayed here before. The lighs were burned out at the sink area. The toilet seat was falling off. When we intered the room there was a smoking order. It was a non smoking room. The sink was pluged up. Th person who checked us in was very rude. We will never stay there again.

room is 'standard budget class' accomodation. two queens crowd the room but that's to be expected. no coffee in room is major drawback for us. excellent pool/patio area.

very noisy

I have been very satisfied with the hotels that I have booked with Hotels.com, but this time we had a terrible experience. The hotel was very old and needs improvements. Our biggest complaint was it was very noisy. There were other quest talking outside our room for over 3 hours. I called the front desk and they called their security people (who were roaming from 4 other hotels in the area) to check out the noise. But when they came they had gone into their rooms, but after security left they were out again. I called the front desk 3 or 4 times, finally I asked to be moved. IT was 11:30 at night and we had to pack up and move in order to get any sleep.

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

BEDS WERE UNCOMFORTABLE, NOISY PLACE, COULD HEAR WATER RUNNING FROM OTHER ROOMS. ROOM SMELLED, POOL AREA WAS NICE THE MONEY THAT THEY MAKE THEY SHOULD PUT SOME BACK INTO THE ROOMS AND BRING THEM UP TO DATE.

Fair price for value received.

The room was a non smoking room but was recently smoked in. The room and INN was old, but was kept in fairly good condition. The cafe was very good and the staff went out of the way to make certain that our meal was to our satisfaction, they even stayed late without letting us know we kept them beyond closing hours. front desk personal were very friendly... We would stay again...

Old but very good.

The hotel is very clean and well taking care of. The staff were extremely nice. The hotel location is right next to everything.

Good but could improve

Good value, needs to be updated, old bathroom fixtures, low water pressure, cheap TV. AC was good, service was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We have stayed here before and would stay again if better accomadations were not available.

Good hotel

The hotel was clean and the room quiet. The lack of in room amenities such as no in room coffee pot was off-putting. The Waffle Spot restaurant is an excellent and popular place for breakfast.
