Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 31Good bang for the buck
Pluses were location, value and the staff is a really good bunch of folks. Minuses - I was a littl nervous that were was no security for internet connections, but that's no big deal. a coffee pot in the room would have been nice, or larger cups in the lobby. Traveling on a budget? This is the place. Excellent location. our room was incredibly quiet for a freeway hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 31Good value with great service!
My stay at the Kings Inn was to attend a convention and I wanted a quiet area away from downtown. I was pleased. It was quiet and yet there were families enjoying themselves. The resturants were good and the service was great. They were all very friendly and helpful. I will refer others to the Kings Inn.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 31Not Bad for Price
I wasn't expecting a four star resort. I wanted a clean room, close to the freeway, near the basic amenities that San Diego offers. This room fit the bill. The beds were firm and the hotel was relatively quiet, even with a full occupancy. My only problem was that I thought the decor was pretty ugly and dimly lit...LOL. I'm not a TV watcher, but it seemed that the TV was kinda small, but I don't travel to watch TV. But I spent most of the time in the room after the sun went down NOT looking at the walls, so it was fine. It's nice to have the Waffle House RIGHT THERE for the morning. If it popped up on Hotels.com again as one of the cheaper hotel options in this area of San Diego, I'd stay there again. Plus, I thought the women at the desk were very polite, courteous and helpful.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 31Cheap and Clean
I got a great rate on this room, and considering what I paid for it, I was pretty happy with it. The staff was nice and helpful, I felt safe, and the wireless internet connection was great...not very slow like a lot of hotels. The downsides were that the bathroom was very small, and the mattress really hard. But I only needed a place to rest, check email, and shower and it met those needs fine.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 31Friendly Service
Just have to say that my dad left his cell in the room and didn't notice until 2 hours later that he was missing his cell. Had gone back to the hotel and within minutes they brought his cell to him. Great service and a wonderful staff.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and was very satisfied. It was conveniently located and a good value for the price. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good, affordable hotel in the San Diego area.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 31Nice looks from the outside. "However" not what you would expect.
Very nice hotel from the outside, However, the rooms are small. The heating system was shut off. very poor water pressure for showels. mild temp water. its bascily set up to just sleep. not set-up for sociable contacts or friends to meet you there. as for reservations you place. you may not get the kind of room that you requested. Had to ask the management twice for the correct type of room that I requested.

This is a great hotel for the money, the beds are comfortable. It does need some remodeling, but all in all it is what it is. Safe and usually quiet.

The room smelled musty. Clearly the rooms need to be updated.
