Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 59Great hotel for the price
Hotel, room & employee's were great. Loved the Hawaiian entertainment at breakfast every morning. Breakfast should have been handled better...It was only only available from 6:30 to 8:30, line for fruit was way too long and it always ran at by 8am. I would also suggest a better facility to allow people to eat breakfast rather pool chairs. $25.00 for parking every day was higher than the fee at other hotels.

Hotel was very comfortable in a great location. Downstairs retaurant, Tiki Bar & Grill, was very good also. Not much to the free breakfast, but To-go-bags were a nice touch. Also free use of beach chairs a great plus. Staff was always helpful & freindly.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 59Convenient location; solid hotel.
Nothing too fancy, but good for the money. Probably best feature is location on Waikiki Beach. One-way road access to hotel is a bit confusing, but once you mess it up once you figure it out. Stadard rooms are not large, but sufficient. Staff was courteous and gave us a free partial ocean view upgrade. Could have been because hotel was not too full. One issue is the bizzare elevator situation. You need to take a small elevator down to the valet service. No direct elevator down there from the rooms. It gets crowded. We didn't like paying $22 per day for valet service either, but that's Waikiki.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 59Incredible...
We had an ocean front room as requested just off the pool and the sunrises were spectacular. The hotel staff were polite, professional and friendly. We will most certainly return to this hotel in the future. Living in New York makes Hawaii a long trip but once we arrived at our hotel we went into our relaxed and just enjoy this piece of paradise.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 59Good location, loud area
Hotel has many pluses such as location. Don't expect a quiet nights sleep as patio door does not block any sound. Breakfast was very inconsistant from good to non-existant which depended on the day. Room was very clean.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 59Great location, some good amenities
The good: the hotel location is perfect. Right on Waikiki, and close to a lot of stuff. The bar (Tiki's) is excellent, and has a pretty happening nightlife and a bunch of free entertainment. For the price, this is an excellent hotel. The free breakfast, although somewhat of a "cattle call," is very nice to have. This can be worth quite a bit of money, considering prices in Honolulu. Throw in a free cooler, and it's an even better deal. They had some free entertainment at breakfast (hula dancer), which was a really nice touch. The not-so-good. The place is crowded (not surprisingly), so getting around can be bumpy. Mostly it's the small things, but they can be irritating. The elevators are slow, crowded, and you feel like you're waiting for a NY subway train to arrive. The internet didn't work, and the staff offered little help on that. Overall, a really great hotel considering the location and price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 59Good deal, great location
We just returned from a weeks vacation in Hawaii, 4 nights spent at the Aston Waikiki Beach. The hotel is in a great location, at the end of the strip right across the street from the beach. It's convenient to everything, but off to one side so it's a little less busy. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, with a nice balcony. The air conditioning wasn't the strongest (it worked better at night than during the day), but we weren't often in the room in the middle of the day so we didn't really mind. They have a small but pretty good gym (both cardio equipment and free weights). The pool is small, but well located so it gets plenty of sun. Plenty of restaurants nearby with a variety of food options. All this, with the bonus of a great rate made this a more than satisfying hotel option during out stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 59Great hotel, awesome location!
This was our first time at the Aston Waikki Beach and we would definetly return. Walk across the street and you're at the beach! On the left side is a prime spot for boogie boarding and surfing, and on the right side is swimming area enclosed by retaining walls. Great beach area for little ones or for floating on a raft. Lots of restaurants near by and the International Market Place is just a few blocks away. Great Value!

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 59Great Location
This hotel was in a great location. We had an excellend view of Waukiki beach (room 2211) (stayed July 2-6, 20090. The rooms are a bit dated but nothing that would stop me from staying there again. The elevators were a bit goofy and sometimes would go back to the lobby if someone got in and hit the lobby button while you were going up. A little inconvienience but nothing major.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 59Great room for the money
The location is great.Hotel is right across from the beach. Room and bathroom were very small. Upon checking in I was informed that I had a free upgrade to a room with a partial view. After walking around the building, I realized all room had a partial view. There was no upgrade. Partial view is nice. I would stay at this hotel again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 59Awesome Stay
We got a really good deal on this hotel room. It's right across from the beach, and our room had a very nice view of the beach. The room decor was adorable, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. All the staff was helpful, and the restaurant/bar (Tiki's) was fun-- there was live music and the crowd was definitely into it! Be aware that the elevator system seems a bit slow, so patience is a must. Always have your room key handy as the elevator won't work without it. The location is prime-- not only close to the beach, but you're right above several shops, and there is an ABC Store and a Starbucks several feet away.
