Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 18Great location and prince for what you get.
The location of this hotel is great. We spent 4 night here, and it was just what I expected. However, I was surprised to see small roaches roaming in the bathroom and the drawers of the dresser. Also, a lot of ants near the window and the AC... it didn't really bother me because I understand I was in a tropical island where insects are common, but I'm glad my wife didn't see any of these b/c I'm sure she would've freaked out! I just killed the small roaches and let the ants have their fun with whatever they were doing. I also saw a small gecko in the room, but I figured it would help out with the pest control, so I let him stay in the room while I was there. :-) There are no restaurants on site, and they don't serve breakfast... so beware of the high prices for the area in the small coffee shops of Kapaa... Starbucks was actually cheaper!!! Can you believe it? Overall, I was very satisfied with the room... I got a second floor room overlooking the garden on the back, with ocean view if you hang out at the balcony railing :-) and it was very, very quiet, so it was perfect for getting a great night of sleep after being exhausted from the daily activities that Kauai has to offer. Again... right in the middle of the island, 10 minutes away from the airport, and one hour away from both, Ke'e beach to the North, and the last Waimea Canyon lookout to the South.

Please don't stay at this hotel. The room is old, dirty, and very uninviting. You will be very dissapointed.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 18Great room for the money
I thought this place was a good deal for the price we paid and was a convenient location. Compared to paying more in Maui and getting a pretty bad room, this place seemed wonderful. For those looking for simply a clean place to sleep, this is a good deal.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 18Impossible to find, OK if you're traveling on the cheap
First of all, this hotel is pretty much impossible to find, especially at night, without getting directions from a local. Not only do they not have a sign visible from the main road, there isn't even a sign with the street name nearby so Google maps won't help you. Rooms are small, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are functional but badly in need of updating, air conditioners work but are far too loud for light sleepers. The hotel grounds outside the rooms are nice and well maintained. This is one of the cheapest hotels on the island and it shows.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 18Perfect hotel if you want to save money and be comfortable
This hotel was so awesome! It looks as if we had stepped into a 1950's Hawaiian surfer movie. Yeah it was an older hotel, but it is very well kept up. The grounds are amazing and the hotel room was huge. We were kind of scared with all the negative reviews, but we were very impressed when we checked in. We will definitely stay here again and refer others to this hotel as well.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 18Upgrade
Got an unexpected upgrade on our first night so we went to sleep with the sound of the waves and a wonderful Hawaiian breeze flowing through the windows. Beach is right there so it was like stepping off the airplane and hitting the beach right away. Fridge in the room was a nice convenience.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 18Good spot for good money
Pros: good location in Kapa'a. easy access to other spots and lots of places to eat. Staff was wonderful. all smiles, very good at getting info about the area. Cleaning staff was prompt and actually cleaned the room every day. great price for what you get. Cons: workout room is a total joke. has 2 treadmills and a bike. not exactly a fitnes area in any way. that is about it. i would recommend this hotel and i plan on staying here again. cheers

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 18For what you pay it is ok!
My husband and I recently stayed here and it was very convenient from the airport. We arrived late and after a long day of travel just wanted a place to sleep until we could get into our resort the next day. The grounds here are nice, they are on the beach, so after checking out we spent some time strolling on the beach and listening to the ocean. The hotel itself could use some updating. I think with a fresh coat of paint, some new comforters, and carpet it would be great! The bathroom sink area was small, my husband felt that it was pretty tight, but you do get a full tub/shower area. The bed was springy, like you could feel them in your back... And they charge you $1 for a cup of coffee in the am. Overall for what we paid we were satisfied.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 18Ok Rooms-Great BeachFront
It has a great location. The beach front is beautiful, but the rooms are a little run down. If you are a "out and about" person, this hotel works. The morning coffee could have been a bit better too (real cream is always better vs. dry pkg. creamer.) If you dont spend time in the hotel, stay here. It was the best deal I could find and very central.
