Horrible Place To Stay

This place was horrible. I know they are a "cheap" place to stay in Kauai but it was really horrible!!!!! The entrance looked like it was stuck in the 70's. When I walked in the room there was an aqua shag carpet. I sat on the foot of the bed and it was like a trampoline it was so springy. The sheets were much like the entrance, stuck in the 70's and had the color of the carpet. The mini fridge was not even plugged in and the bathroom looked like there might have been something growing in it. They said that the room was an ocean view room...not even close. I had to go out on the patio (the railing out there was old and coming off the building) and lean all the way over to see the ocean. I was so disappointed that I left there and went to a much better place. Don't waste your money or your time, don't make the same mistake I did.

Great Location,Ocean front, very affordable place to stay!

We paid very little to stay at this hotel. We stayed many years ago and at that time there was a restaurant that was nice to have onsite. The restaurant is no longer there, but a large condo complex with a restaurant is next door and within walking distance. It has it's own beach with a few lounge chairs and lighting at night. There is a very clean pool, although the pool closes early in the evening. The grounds are clean and neatly trimmed. The room was large with a nice size balcony with chairs and tables over looking the pool and gardens. The decor of the room is dated and dark, but very clean. The bathroom was very clean, no mold or sand. There was a refridgerator and air conditioning. It is not a resort setting, more like a small quiet, private setting. The cost was amazing! I wish they had a place like this on Oahu. I will return again and probably just visit the large resorts for lunch or a drink. It's nice to stay at an affordable place for rest and be able to tour all day and know you are returning to a clean comfortable bed.

old and tired facility

Exterior old and tired, room was clean and ok if you just wanted a place to sleep. Not a place that you would probably want to spend a lot of time at just hanging out at. But, hard to beat the price if you are on a budget.

Great room for the $

This is an older, well worn hotel. Although past its prime, the rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Our room had an ocean view, there are two pools, both in good shape. Great location for walking on the beach, close to Kaapa and not far from Lihue, beaches, etc.

Good budget priced hotel

This large hotel on the beach is well kept up and well run. My room had a king size bed, TV, refrigerator and ample lighting. The bathroom had a basic sink, toilet, shower. Overall, a really good value for the money. I slept well here.

Affordable price & great location

Stayed one night and had a room on the 1st floor. Great location and is next to many other hotels. Parking is available. I accidentally left a clothing item in the hotel so I called the next day and they were kind enough to promptly send it to my home and they paid the USPS fees which was great (especially consdering the rates of the hotel are very affordable). My only minus would be that we had 2 roaches (both were in the bathroom), but it was not a big deal. Overall, I'd stay here again.

The price was great for the location. Not a five star, but you can't beat the location if you are on a budget.

Great room for the money. Right on the beach and great location. We enjoyed the pool also. It was neat and clean.

One Night Stay

Hotel staff was very friendly, and gave accurate and timely information about a serious traffic tie up that saved me time and money. My room was very clean, comfortable and refreshing. Linens were crisp & clean, comfortable and while the property was older than others, it was very well maintained and the grounds were manicured and appealing. Keep up the good work!

No Smoking Rooms

There are no 'no smoking' rooms at this hotel. Some are labeled as that but they still put the ashtray in the room and the room smells just like that, an ash tray. Combined with 60 style everything and the most uncomfortable bed imaginable i would not reccommend this hotel, even at the price, spend a few bucks more for a better place.
