Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 129Outstanding hotel
Very helpful and friendly staff. The room and bathroom were large, clean, comfortable, well-decorated. Location of the hotel is very convenient to Michigan Ave, Northwestern hospital, restaurants, the lakeshore and more. Safe and secure too.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 129Perfect location...perfect hotel
The Affinia was really an outstanding place to stay in Chicago. Being less than a block to the Magnificent Mile and only a few blocks to the Lake was terrific. The room was well appointed, and a very nice layout and size for the price. Some of the extras available (six kinds of pillows!) were a nice touch. My only hope is that they can do something to lessen the blow of the parking fee--at $48 per day, it felt a little steep, even by NYC standards. Otherwise, a very enjoyable stay. I'd definitely plen on staying at the Affinia on my next trip to Chicago.

Perfect location right next to Gino's East. Easy walking distance "the mile." Roof top bar was cool, and had great city views. This was the first in a long time where everything worked in the room, the shower and sinks drained too.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 129We loved The Affinia!
We loved this hotel! One block from great shopping on Michigan Ave. and directly next door to one of the best Pizza places in Chicago, Gino's East. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. Great room, very comfortable bed, giant shower (6 people could fit in), hip decor. We would absolutely stay there again!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 129Nice
I liked the modern design of the hotel. The location was perfect. The restaurant (C-House) was pretty bad. We had brunch there and it was not good. Go elsewhere. The elevators are EXTREMELY slow. The conceierge was often not around so getting info was difficult at times. The room itself was big for the price. Overall, I reccommend but not it was just fair.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 129Great room for the money
Found an outstanding rate for a studio suite on hotels.com. The room itself was nice, with modern furnishings but the bed and bathroom should have been larger. All studio suites have queen size beds, and the bathroom for such a large room was tiny. Cons: Windows need soundproofing, studio suites only have queen size beds, doors do not have a do not disturb/housekeeping placard to place outside the door, did not have or offer nightly turn down service. Pros: Location of hotel is fantastic, room was pretty and spacious, rooftop bar, rooms are clean and housekeeping staff is superb.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 129Outstanding Hotel, Great room for the money
Bright, modern, friendly, convenient, clean, cool. The rooftop deck bar rocks although my husband was disappointed he could not smoke a cigar due to Illinois laws. Drinks are pricey! Room was a good size, bed very comfortable. Loved the little reading lights on the headboard for nocturnal/jet-lagged reading but missed a nice comfortable chair for daytime reading. Bathrobes were available on request and delivered promptly. Loved the wallpaper in the bathroom and ability to open the window even though just a crack. For the price we paid, it was excellent value. My son, whose college graduation we were attending, was very impressed that we middle- agers selected such a cool place to stay.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 129Nice find
I used to live in Chicago and was a bit unsure about this hotel because it is fairly new, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a reasonably priced hotel with contemporary decor and friendly staff. It was perfect for our stay and I will definitely be back.

Great decor - loved the bathrooms. Great mirrors in the room and bathroom. Nice rooftop bar - would be nice in the summer. Will definitely stay there again. Everyone in the lobby was friendly, outgoing and eager to offer restaurant suggestions, etc.
