Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 13Great room and location for the money
The hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are small but clean. There was no safe in the room but valuables can be locked in at the front desk area. However, we simply left the laptop in the room and had no problems. The breakfast buffet was good and had a very reasonable price. The restaurant is on the top floor and provides a great view over the city. The elevators were a slight problem though. It takes sometimes a long time; especially in the morning during check-out hours and because several different tour groups all meet at the same time in the morning. The day of our check-out, we actually had to split, go on the elevator up in order to finally make it to the lobby.

We stayed in 4 hotels on this trip, super small rooms compared to others. Only in Tokyo!!

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 13"Convenient Stay"
The rooms were very small, which we had expected and rather claustrophobic with only one very small window. But there are numerous restaurants and a couple of 24 hour markets on site, so it was very convenient. We walked around quite a bit and the area felt very safe and pleasant.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 13Great but one thing...
The hotel was great! It was very close to Shinjuku Station and department stores. The room was small but thats expected in Japan. The only negative thing I have to say is their elevator. You have to wait 10 min sometimes to get onto the elevator. And even if the elevator comes to your floor, its usually filled with people so you can't go in. I'm not sure why the problem occurs considering that there are six elevators in the hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 13Excellent stay!
My brother and I are students, so on this trip, we had a limited budget - at the time, this hotel cost just as much as two spots in a hostel, but much better! The staff was super friendly and helpful with giving us directions, maps, etc. and the restaurants downstairs were great for when we didn't want to venture out to find food after a long day site-seeing. Likewise, our room was spotless, and for us anyway, we had plenty of space. They also provide amenities, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, etc. The metro station is not too far, maybe a 10-15 minute walk, depending which station, but a little far to trek your luggage if you decided to take the metro from the airport. However, the Limousine Bus to the airport is a wonderful service; we didn't mind paying the extra few bucks to have direct pick-up/drop-off.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 13Great location, small rooms
Japan may be notorious for less than spacious rooms in even the most extravagant of hotels, but in my experience I had always considered that a bit exaggerated until I stayed at the Shinjuku Washington. The location was great, only a short stumble back from some of the best shopping, eats and karaoke in the city after a late night out, but when you can literally fall into bed from where you open the door to your room, you start thinking to yourself that you could use just a LITTLE more room than this. Luckily, we spent very little time in our rooms in any case, so purely as a place to recharge for the next day's outing the Shinjuku Washington was a satisfying experience.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 13Great Hotel and Location
I really enjoyed this hotel as it was clean and had a great location. The rooms are small but it is Tokyo after all and my husband and myself both had more than enough room for the two of us. The convenient location of the subway made this the perfect location.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 13Nothing great BUT very convenient & priced right.
Stayed here once before - its not fancy but very convenient location and the price is always good. Airport Limousine from Narita drops off and picks up this location. Theres also a 24hr convenient store on the main floor.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 13Good hotel
Overall, I'd say this room is comfortable and clean. However, it's small and the bathroom is like being on a cruise ship bathroom. I guess with all the lack of space they really economized. We opted to get the delux standard room and got a small little extra sitting area which wasn't worth the extra money really. My brother who got the regular delux got a massage chair in their room...
