Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 4Everything is great here.
Staff is friendly and helpful, lobby is beautiful, breakfast was included and delicious, location is excellent, rate was reasonable, rooms are clean, comfy and plush (although single rooms are a little too small). I love this hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 4not a 5-star hotel
a decent enough hotel, but more like a 3-star hotel than a 5-star hotel. the breakfast is not that great, but the fresh-squeezed orange juice is nice. the coffee is lousy.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 4eh' could do better
Hotel is in a great section of the city. Pretty central to Athens and many of the shops and sites. Lobby is impressive and really seems to be one of the better hotels in Athens. However, 5-star is a little bit of a stretch. By US standards, probably more of a 3.5-star. My experience can be summed up in two words: bed bugs. First night in I arrived late and tried to get some sleep. Luckily, I can't adjust to the time change and was awake enough to notice a minor swarm of little red bed bugs crawling around me on the bed. Very very very gross. Hotel was very good in helping me change rooms. But no comps and no apologies. I don't know if this is very common in Europe or not, but definitely NOT acceptable. I think this was a very big abberation, so will give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Only other comment is that the rooms are uncomfortably warm. Very hard to get AC or air movement (I had two rooms so pretty sure this is not room specific). My 2 cents.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 4A Cut Above Europe Four-Stars
The single room is considerably larger than that of most European hotels (though a bit small by American standards). Breakfast is excellent, and book dinner at the roof-top restaurant, with great food and a commanding view of the lit-up Acropolis. You can walk to the Acropolis and the Agora through safe (though trinket-crowded) streets.
