Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 74OUTSTANDING HOTEL
I WAS SHOPPING FOR A HOTEL ROOM LAST MINUTE FOR MY BOYFRIENDS BIRTHDAY WEEKEND. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY FROM THE SPECTACULAR VIEW FROM OUR ROOM. WE LOVED IT AND ARE EXCITED TO RETURN SOON.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 74Inexpensive, good location, some street noise
The restaurant/bar was nice, the lobby was very nice, the rooms were more than adequate given the price point. Try to get a high floor, as there is quite a bit of street noise.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 74Nice Hotel, Convenient for shopping Union Square
Our room was nice and the service at the front desk was great. Good location to get on the trolley and for shopping Union Square. Several choice for dining nearby. Several homeless people in the area, but we experienced this in many areas of San Francisco. Overall satisfied with our stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 74outstanding location
the location of this hotel was perfect. Only a few blocks from market street with great access to the F line and other transportation. The staff was very helpful and informative. Would recommend this hotel to anyone! Kevin Boston, MA

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 74Stylistic setting and comfy beds
Down comforters, stylish wood accents everywhere, and a front door that takes two people to move. The room was quiet and the staff was friendly. Watch out for parking costs, you can park for half the price at other lots rather than $40 a night through the valet. The location is 3-4 blocks from Market St., good shopping, MoMA, and some good eats. No Bums out front was a plus+

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 74Great room, great staff, great price
We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Rooms were decorated in a pleasant modern motif. We had robes, very nice bath products and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The location is very convenient to the Union Square and theater area. Many great diners close by, but the neighborhood isn't great.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 74Great but Small Room
The Adagio is in a good shoping location near Union Square. My room was great but very small (RM 1 King) with very little room around the bed. Staff was excellent and very friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 74Very Disappointed
We were very disappointed with the hotel and our stay. We upgraded to an executive suite on a higher floor and were expecting a higher quality room. Overall the room was comfortable, but very worn. The furniture, wall hangings and carpet were all worn. The photo in the wall hanging was peeling out of the frame. The sofa had worn spots. The grout in the shower was moldy-the exhaust fan did not work. We asked to have it repaired, but it was never done. We stayed five days. You'd think they could have repaired it during that time frame. The front desk staff were not helpful or courteous. We waited several minutes during checkin before any of the three staff even greeted us. On check out the same attitude prevailed. The restaurant was very good and the staff in both the restaurant and bar were outstanding. The towels were old and scratchy. No free coffee (even discount chain hotels have free in room coffee)! Overall the web was misleading in how the room would look and what our experience would be.

Super hotel. It's situated very conveniently to many landmarks, shopping, and attractions. If you want terrific service, a comfortable room, and a memorable visit to San Francisco stay at this hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 74Highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel!
We were pleasantly surprised with all aspects of our experience. We knew that the Joive de Vivre hotels are a quality boutique hotel and that was a big factor why we chose this hotel. When I called the central reservation number to confirm our reservation, they could not find it in the system. But when I called directly to the hotel, they found us and quickly made up for the inconvenience by giving us a lovely corner room. When we came back to our room later in the evening, there was a bottle of champage waiting for us with a "Happy Anniversary" card. We appreciated the extra attention and look forward to going back!!
