Wonderful scenic location. Wifi not available in rooms, only lobby.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 50Ok for a centrally located area
Beach access was awesome as it's next to a local favorite beach. No bar/restaurant activities other than a few hotel customers. Overall OK for the money. I probably would not stay there again as there are better options.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 50Priced right for an average hotel
My expectations were based upon the price and quality. I chose this hotel for the location next to the river's mouth and the immediate beach in front of the hotel for fishing and swimming purposes. The beach is one of the better artificially protected beaches, which is good for snorkeling among trapped fish in the manmade lagoon. This is an older hotel built back in the haydays and there weren't too many signs of improvements when I stayed there. Found some bugs in the room, but that's expected for Kauai. The pool and jacuzzi were adequate. I thought the people that worked there went the extra mile to help you out, especially loaning me a beach towel after I checked out and wouldn't not mind if I had showered before leaving for my flight. I could have probably found better accomodations, but because of the location and my requirements, this hotel met my expectations. As for the restaurant and bar ambience KALAPAKI JOES LIHUE is the place to be and it's a few minutes away from the hotel. It is a restaurant rows with plenty of choices to eat. This bar has .25 cent wings and cheap beers, plus an awesome menu. If you want high end hotel check out the Princeville area and Marriott south of the airport, but you'll pay at least 2x the cost here.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 50Perfect "overniter"
This is the perfect place to stay for one or maybe two nights. We arrived a day before we could check into our timeshare. This hotel is close to the airport and the price is right.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 50Great room for the money
The rates were great. They even had a hideaway bed. They had a jacuzzi and 2 separate pools, a bigger and smaller one. Very convenient. The only thing was the A/C would go off after reaching a certain temperature and not turn on again till it was already really warm. Other than that, very family friendly.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 50Friendly staff, very helpful
Overall, grat hotel for the money. We reserved a room with two queen beds and a pull-out sofa. When we checked in, we were told that room was not available, and we got a room with two double beds. Air conditioner did not work, and after calling the front desk, they found us a room with two queen beds and a pull out sofa. Go figure! Air conditioner in that room did not work the best, but, by the time we left, it was finally pushing out the cold air. Room could use a better cleaning (upper shower walls dirty and windows overlooking the ocean could use a good scrubbing), but the rest was fine. Found out that you only get a one time in-room pot of coffee, then if you want one each morning, they charge you $1.50 each day per pot of coffee. Having said all of that, would definately stay there again. The staff was great, very helpful, always smiling and cheerful.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 50Great place to stay
This is a great hotel for those visiting Kauai for the hotel fee. My kids have a great time here for it is right next to the swimming beach, nice outdoor swimming pool and jazucci. The only thing that we wish it has is the hotel-wide wireless internet which is only available in the lobby and cafeteria.

This hotel is a great place to stay on the island of Kaua'i. I really like to stay here when I visit my family that live on the island. Great place!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 50A wonderful location and hotel
We were extremely lucky to get this hotel. It was spring break and due to airline snafu we were stuck. It was a lovely location, lovely view, and lovely staff. The wireless was only available in the lobby, however, they made it very comfortable and accomadating. The rates with Hotel.com were certainly value for rate. Thanks I would recommend it. Rooms were not overly large, but, well appointed.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 50Large Room
It was a fairly large room for the price. Newly rennovated, nice furniture, bed comfortable. The property was nice, and best of all FREE PARKING.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 50Great value for short stay
We needed a hotel for one day before we checked into our time share and it was exactly what we expected. For the money you can't beat it and the location was convenient to shopping and restuarants!! The bed was awful but we managed. Looks like they are in need of a remodel and updating but for the most part it was comfortable and right on the beach.
