Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 26Venerable Grande Damme!
The old lady still show pretty well. This is the old Huntington Hotel from back in the good old days. It was a Ritz Hotel for a long time and is now owned and run by another group. Set in the midst of an upscale tree and mansion lined neigborhood, the hotel has a private, old world feel to it. The staff couldn't be nicer, the grounds are beautifully mantained, and the attention to detail is appearent. The rooms are spacious enough, and decorated in a traditional manner without becoming dowdy. We stayed with our two boys( 8,12 respectivly, and they had a great time exploing the grounds, pool and overall history of the place. It close enough to old town Pasadena, although transportation ( shuttles provided by the hotel) are necessary. Well worth it,especially if you can find a good deal through hotels.com!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 26Nice, but expensive
Hotel is very nice, but everything costs extra. The restaurant is not too good, but prices are very high. Local phone calls cost $1. Internet access is $10/day. No free parking or self parking. Costs $12+tip per parking for visitors and $25/day for hotel guests.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 26Overall ok place
Hotel looks nice, is well maintained and is in good neighborhood. However the bed was bad and the pillow was bad. We asked for a 2 beds. The room was double deluxe room. There were two adult and a teenager in party. Either bed was not wide enough for 2 adults or a adult and a teenager. We have had much better sleeping experience in less expensive hotels. There was no coffeemaker in the room. The service was excellent. Restaurent in the hotel is extremely expensive. You can easily spend 30 dollars on breakfast when a bowl of cereal is $7.50. BTW, parking and internet cost extra.

I stayed here as a child and found it better than I remember. However, the room design and furnishings although certainly adequate are not up to par with other 5 star hotels. Service was outstanding......

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 26Lovely accommodations close to Old Pasadena
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Wireless service was expensive ($10/day), however, as was (required) valet parking ($25/day). Terrace Restaurant by the pool was very good for breakfast and lunch. The fitness center had first class equipment.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 26We can't wait to go back!
The setting and location of the Langham couldn't have been more lovely for our stay. We traveled with a toddler and an infant and were treated with 5-star service all around. The Langham even provided baby toiletries for our infant when they delivered her crib to the room. The bell and valet staff were extremely helpful with directions - even running to get printed directions from the Langham's stellar concierge before we departed for an outing. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely taken care of. Excellent staff, great location, beautiful hotel and grounds. We can't wait to go back!

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 26Long black hairs everywhere!!! Needs better housekeeping staff
This hotel property is elegant and nice in a old-school way and, considering it used to be a Ritz-Carlton, I had high hopes. The good part: I wasn't faced with the fakey fakey "hello Miss X, our ladies and gentleman are so pleased you're here" B.S. that Ritz Carlton is known for. I just hate being said hello to 1 million times when I'm walking into the lobby of a Ritz, and, thankfully, this place is way more low key now that it's a Langham. The staff at the desk and concierge were great, friendly and authentic. Unfortunately, when I checked into my first room, there were long black curly hairs EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. It was as if some woman with very long black hair shook her hair out everywhere, on the white marble floor, in the shower, the hairs were just everywhere including on the towel bar in the shower stall. That was gross enough, but when i walked out into the living room area and looked closer at the cleanliness, there were hairs EVERYWHERE in the carpet, i'm not sure what this person was doing with her hair but it was absolutely disgusting. Luckily they were able to change me to another room. ALthough it was a bit smaller, it was mostly fine. A few things kind of to be expected with an oldish (yet renovated) hotel: a few electical outlets didn't work so i dried my hair in the bedroom (Oh! maybe that's what happened with the woman who previously inhabited my other room! maybe her outlets didn't work either!!)... the turn-down service was good on some nights (refreshing towels, taking away the old, etc.) and shoddy other nights (hardly turning down the bed at all and leaving stuff on my vanity that should have been organized). The gym is adequate if you need to do cardio or some weights, but there was the inevitable issue of "the television doesn't work with this stairmaster and it's the only one not occupied" because the gym equipment is bordering on old-ish and was pretty full on the days I visited . The spa looks very nice though, although i didn't ge
