The humidity was extreme so much so that the carpets and tile floor were consistetly wet, despite air conditioning. The hotel obviously needs an overhaul--mold was in the picture frames--again the humidity--and investment in a dehumifier for the hotel would save money in the long run. Bureau drawers were broken. Needs a better door than the old metal one to the bathroom and the balcony; also needs a screen door to the balcony. A major problem also: the hotel failed to notify anyone or post note in elevator that a Shriners' convention would be in front of the hotel, blocking all exit from the hotel--and checkouts--making it highly likely that one would miss his/her plane connection. A real boo-boo that easily could have been avoided. In sum--this hotel needs a lot of work and is not a place to stay if you have allergies or asthma (mold! lack of fresh air)

Virginia Beach

Overall we had a pleasant stay. The room was fine, but not in mint condition. It definitely is a "Beach Hotel". The staff was very friendly, but I definitely think they could improve the hallways and stairwells appearances. The location next to the beach was very nice!
