Needs a new staff and updated rooms

My expectations were higher based on the star rating. However, I was disappointed with the staff, cleanliness and comfort of the room. Upon checking in the staff at the front desk appeared unconcerned that there was a guest trying to check in as they continued with their loud conversation. When there was a lull, my husband said "Excuse me" and was told we would be helped in a minute. We then waited an additional 5 minutes for them to complete this conversation and assign us a room. Upon entering the room the first thing we noticed was the return air vent that was hanging sideways on the wall missing half the screws that hold it on. The room was hot and had a smokey odor although we requested NON smoking. We kept resetting the thermostat to cool the room off but it took till the middle of the night before it was comfortable enough to sleep. There were very few cable stations available, no premium channels.

"Nothing like Vegas"

The hotel was clean but only hotel that had a room for the holiday. Probably would not go back again however the casino was large and much nicer than those nearby.

Great room for the money

Nice comfort king size bed with high headboard, decor was black & brown, 32 flat screen tv, nice chair & ottman. The shower head was large relaxing water.

Outstanding hotel

The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. the beds were very soft Would deffently stay there again.

Good room for the money, window view was blocked

Overall room was nice and clean, small TV, but no surprise being a casino hotel. Exercise room was a treat. Staff was friendly, fast check in.

"Roaches"

Roaches in the room both nights. Air conditioner unit did not operate properly. Maintenance was called, but did not fix problem. When complaint was made to management, reply was, since we paid for room in advance no refund was available.

Nice room for the money

The room was great. The tv remote didn't work but after two times calling customer service, they sent someone up and fixed it. Room was very clean.

Large room with comfortable furniture. Nice staff and good gambling downstairs.

The room had been refurbished and was decorated beautifully. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.

price was great

The hotel was clean and very nice. The price was great. Not enough places in that hotel to eat. The one restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed and only opened on the weekend. I thought the price for the food at the buffet was a little high for the money they charge.

" Exceptional Stay"

We were very pleased with our stay at Sam's Town. The staff was very nice ant met our every need. The room was very well furnished and cleaniing was exceptional. You could never go wrong with staying at this hotel. I will definately return in the near future..
