great room for the money

This hotel was lovely. Beats the hotel chains! wouldn't have stayed if the price was what it was the next day!! Big rooms, and comfortable bed.

Great location

I love the location - just across from the Ferry Building. Also, the scrambled eggs with wild mushrooms and truffles are amazing.

Great HOtel

Nice staff, good location, upgraded room was really nice, the only problem is the loud bar area at happy hour but that can also be fun

Almost Perfect

Great hotel though the air conditioning in the hall ways was up way to high (and I like it cold). Also, the water jug in the workout room was dry, as was the tea kettle in the lobby. Minor inconveniences, yes, but at a JDV hotel I expect (near) perfection.

No Drawers

The hotel was nice, the staff was nice but when we went to our room to unpack, there were no drawers. There was one small drawer that was part of the cabinet with the minibar and that was it. I asked the front desk about it and he said the designer didn't put them in and they didn't ask him to change it. I don't know about you but I want drawers to put my clothes in. I don't want to live out of my suitcase.

A little pricey, but worth it!!

We had read great reviews about this hotel and thought we would give it a try. It was very close to an event that we were attending and made it very conveinent for us. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly employees. The check-in process was quick and easy. We arrived to our room and had a spectacular view of the bay! The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. We ordered room service and they arrived in a timely manner. All in all, a great place to stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would stay here again.

Nice overall

We really liked our room but there were stains on the carpet which made it seem unclean. This wasn't something that the housekeeper could have taken care of. Other than that the room was very clean & comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, great location

The staff was friendly, the room was fairly large, comfortable and beautifully decorated, and we love this area of San Francisco: right across the street from the Ferry Building, with its shops, good restaurants and farmer's market. And still convenient to walk or cab to Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, and downtown. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
