Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 22a lovely hotel in a great location with great service, reasonable price.
It was a shame that we did not know about this hotel when we booked the beginning of our stay with another. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location could not have been better, and the room was very nicely decorated. It was our anniversary, and the staff sent us a courtesy $75.00 bottle of champagne!

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 22Best spot to stay in SF
I lived in SF for 3 years and go back to visit for work and to see old friends. I've stayed at dozens of hotels over the years, always trying to find the best spot. Hotel Vitale is the best i've found. Great location right across from the ferry building, beautiful big room, great bar (americano) downstairs and walking distance to everything i need in the city. plus they give you free wireless, what more do you need. stay here if you can.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 22The Beds are soooooo COMFORTABLE!!!
Great hotel in a great location. The bed was so comfortable we had no problem sleeping even on the first night! The only disappointment was that there was no coffee left when we arrived in the lobby for coffee service and the hotel did not have someone readily available to refill it. We had to wait for a group of 20 business people to check out (getting their printed bills - you can't order them on the TV as in other hotels).

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 22Pricey, but great location.
We had a handicap room this time, but it had a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge. The Vitale location is terrific for getting to the Ferry Building or hopping the street car for Union Square. Also it is across the street to Boulevard, a very nice restaurant.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 22Good hotel
This is a very good hotel. The staff are very helpful. The food quality is good, but expensive. The "green" theme is consistent throughout. Overall, there is good value when everything is taken into consideration. I would certainly stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 22Above average experience
This place always makes me feel comfortable when I'm there despite the too soft pillows (IMO). Service is always great and quick. Ask for ice...a bucket shows up shortly thereafter....forgot your toothbrush...one magically appears when you get back to your room. They also worked with me at no extra cost to provide a meeting space other than the business center for no added cost. I like that, my small time needs are given priority, that's why I keep coming back.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 22Great Hotel!
Loved this hotel! There was fantastic service and certain rooms in the hotel that have city views also look over the SF bay and the Bay Bridge for not that much extra. It is across from the street from some great restaurants as well. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is a little over a half mile to the Mascone Center if you are attending a conference there and are wanting to walk.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 22Excellent & Accomodating Service
The Vitale was all I hoped it would be and more; from the moment I exited the taxi; everyone was friendly and helpful. I didn't feel well and asked where I could get a doctor; the concierge gave me the name/number of a 24/7 medical service; when I tried to call them and got put on terminal hold-she tried for me and got results at once. Room service was beyond timely; my every wish was their command. The spa is also very lovely & I enjoyed a rooftop "bath" one evening amid bamboo & full moon. Comfort, aesthetics, superb food, excellent area of the city with great walking, restaurants & shopping all nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who is particular about their accomodations.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 22Refresh your senses at the Hotel Vitale!
The fresh smell on entering the hotel is the first thing you'll notice. It starts the transition from the outside world to the luxurious comfort of this hotel. Dried lavender is posted outside each hotel room door, and the staff claims that is the whole secret. Excellent bed and linens. Bath products better than most hotels, again with delightful smells. Very nice room layout. Staff was exceedingly helpful. Excellent location. We used public transportation to get to the hotel from SFO, and to Berkeley for a concert on Sunday. No rental car was necessary to do all the things on our agenda. We attended the Saturday Farmers' Market at the Ferry Bldg, which was a treat for all senses. The bar/restaurant was jumping on Friday and Saturday nights, and have outdoor seating with an unparalleled view of the Bay Bridge. We travel to SF frequently, and usually stay around Union Square. After this experience, we will make Hotel Vitale our destination of choice.
