You get what you pay for

The air conditioner didn't work and when we asked to have it looked at or our room changed, the desk worker said 'to give it time, it just needs to warm up'. It warmed up alright. Good thing we were in Athens in June and not August. We also inquired about a well known bus company that takes your to the ferries and the desk worker had no idea what we were talking about. We walked out of the front of the hotel, asked the first person on the street if they knew where it was and said 'of course'. It was 3 blocks away in the middle of a hectic square. Should have people working the desk that are more familiar with Athens.

Cigarette Smoke everywhere

This neighborhood is sketchy at best; taxi ride to see Acropolis or Plaka is about $40. Not close to anything!

Great Value for money

We loved our stay at the hotel. Though the elevator needs some upgrading, this was more than made up by the location, quality of service, and the helpful and friendly attitude of the receptionist. the complementary breakfast along with free 24 hour web access made it worth the money. we stayed in the 6th floor and had a balcony which was good. It is located close to Ommonia sqaure (15 min walk holding a 2 year baby). there were eateries and shops below for groceries/pharmacy that was helpful when my child fell ill. they were a bit stingy on the soap replacements that we had to go to the receptionist to obtain new one. but overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens.
