Not what it used to be...

I've stayed at the Bahia Mar several times throughout the years and enjoyed it, but it had been awhile and this time it just was not the same. With the lower prices comes a decrease in customer service and a decrease in the overall hotel condition and appearance. The pool used to be the biggest feature - now there is VERY LITTLE service there and many of the chairs were broken. NO ONE comes around to ask if you need anything or to even check on the pool area or to clean-up, it was chaotic and in disarray during our stay. Towels were hard to come by and when they did have them them were not dry. We booked a Marina view and were given instead what they called an 'upgrade' to the main building, which was a view of the side of the building and two full beds (I was staying with my husband), so we waited 3 hours and were finally moved to the marina building (what we had originally booked!), with a balcony, which was better. The best feature of the hotel is the on-site food store and the proximity to the beach. If you can afford the Westin Beach Resort and you like it quieter, better service and less clutter, than stay at the Westin down the street - it's MUCH better!

Excellent location.

The hotel experience was much better than expected, when I booked I read some of te reviews and hoped people were right about it, based on the price I paid and compared to hotels around the area I wasn't sure the quality was going to be all that. I was very happy with the hotel, HIGHLIGHTS: location, dinning at restaurant was priced right and the food was delightful, the pool area sets on the second floor of an adjacent building that houses the gym and fitness area, nice pool bar/restaurant. Walking distance to fine dinning and shopping. The hotel has great ocean front views, there is a highway that separates the beach and hotel but there is a walking bridge exclusive to hotel guest that connects beach, pool are and hotel's second floor. I will stay at this hotel again, I recomend it.

Excellent hotel for the money!

Great people. Very attentive. Very fast in resolving one small problem. Nicely appointed rooms, very comfortable bed and extremely clean. Incredible location. Walking distance to several great restaurants. We had a beautiful view of the marina. Free internet computers in the lobby. Brenda at the reception desk was great!

Amazing and Beautiful Hotel

My boyfriend and i went for a week and this place is fantastic! Right off the beach, a 10 min walk from food, bars, and shopping, friendly staff, nice room, nice pool area, great price! What more can you ask for!?

Great Location

From check-in to check-out exemplary service, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely return. The location is ideal, the beach is literally across the street, and everything your heart would desire is within walking distance.

Good Hotel

I was expecting a better room, this one was okay for the money, the valet parking didnt know how to drive manual, so i had to park my own car couple times.

Super location

This is one of the best locations in Ft Lauderdale. The rooms were a little dated but very comfortable. The housekeeping staff could use a wake-up call, however. A hotel on the beach has sand... yet the room was never vacuumed the entire time we were there. Enjoyed our stay!

Great Location

The beds are so comfortable and the location is just great and right on the beaches. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely stay again.

Great Beach Access

If you want safe, easy access (no street to cross) to a great beach, stay here. Lots to do in the area, large room w/fridge, beautiful view, friendly staff, computers, good pool. No airport or cruise port shuttle however, so get out the twenty bucks for the taxi. I would certainly stay here again. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Great Location

We stayed there for a weekend getaway, and the location was perfect. Across the street from the beach, and a very close walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shops. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
