Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 94Excellent location; great staff
Stayed overnight to "decompress" after a cruise with my husband and 8 year old son. Excellent location...walking distance to numerous restaurants and a stop on the intracoastal water taxi (a treat to ride and gawk at the mansions!). Very helpful staff at the front desk, and pool facility. Easy access to a lovely beach, and very reasonably priced market/deli next to the hotel with quite good coffee/snacks/sandwich/salads. Only negative was one of our double beds was pretty lopsided and seemed to tilt to one side. Lovely view out overlooking partial beach, and the marina.

This is an outstanding hotel, and is located in the center of everything that you go to Ft. Lauderdale to see and do.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 94Very torn about this place...pretty buy ICKY
Ill make this quick...checked in and was told we were getting an "upgrade" to the marina view with a full blacony. I thought great! Got into the building and it was okay...until we got in the elevator which needed a cleaning. Got into our room...and it looked very nice. Great view, and comfy bed. Looked around and noticed stains on the ceiling...and a leak in the bathroom. The bathroom door was broken, and I was going to call and ask for a new room but decided to stay because we checked in late and had a 8am flight. SO...we opened a drawer to see if there was a phone book an dfound a candy wrapper, a "pediegg" with dry skin all over it, a pony tail holder, and a condom wrapper. Jumped into the shower to find a ring of dirt in the tub and EVERY TOWEL WAS DIRTY! I called down and they said new towle swere on the way...but never came. This hotel was super cheap for the area and in a great location. I am assuming the room would have been nice and no complaints if it werent for the dirt. Moral of the story was i SHOULD have complained and asked for a new room...but listened to my husband and stayed. Would I try this hotel again...nope. Left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 94Parking
On top of the high rate, they charge good amount per night for parking as well as for internet. Considering all these things its not that great of a hotel. You might few better one down the same road

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 94Good for the money
If you want a place to stay that's comfortable and close to the beach for a reasonable price, this is the place. It's clean and the people are friendly. The pool is nice and you can walk to the beach cafes. The beach is right across the street and there's a walkway over A1A to get to it.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 94Great Location
We only had one complaint and that was that the air conditioner in the room was not working well. Other than that, the hotel has a wonderful location, next to a marina and directly across the street from the beach. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. One suggestion for the hotel would be to have real coffee ( with milk, etc. ) served in the hotel lobby starting at 6am.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 94Great Views, needs updating
This old hotel has beautiful views, a wonderful and helpful staff, comfortable beds but the rooms need some updating. If your idea of relaxing is a peaceful bath, the partial ocean view rooms are not for you. I'm unsure if they have more modern suites, but my bathroom had peeling paint in the old outdated tub, not to mention the exhaust fan stayed on and was by no means silent. I had a great stay once I got used to the vintage room and old treadmills in the fitness center. The staff was very attentive, the house keeping was on point and the concierge has some wonderful ideas The pool is relaxing and the deli attached to the hotel has great tasting, affordable food. The step out balcony is just that, No sitting watching the sunset on those. The beach is beautiful and has a lot to do.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 94Hidden Fees
Beware of hidden fees for hotel. If you are driving a car there is a daily fee for parking. It is not cheap either. The hotel also charges per day for internet use. Which again I add is not cheap. This hotel does not have WIFI (can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel that didn't). As I travel internationally, this hotel wasn't what I thought it would be.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 94Needs facelift
4th of July weekend and if your looking to be close to everything going on this is a great location. Great fireworks could be seen from hotel (although I suggest you go to Las Olas. ). Plenty of places to eat in every price range. Beach right across the street with walkway to it (very convenient). Breakfast is a very PRICEY buffet that is no more than an upscale continental breakfast for 17.50. Nice CLEAN convenient store on premises. Parking is 18.00 per day for self and 22.00 for valet. Major ripoff. Elevator is very slow. Hotel is in need of a facelift but overall tolerable.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 94It was ok except for...
The service personnel were very nice and attentive, but it could not have been from the training from the management on staff. My family and I ordered food from the poolside bar and my order came with a cockroach mixed in. I kept it very low key and the service person was very apologetic, but the manager did not say a word or even look at me. I believe he was a bit grumpy about having to come up to the area to deal with a customer. The next morning we had a hammer drill being used outside our room at around 9 am working on the A/C unit brackets. When we asked the desk what was happening the manager, once again avoided all contact with the guest. The room was good for the money, the service personnel were very nice and the location to everything was great, but the lack of customer focus by the management team was very disappointing. even more so than having a cockroach in my nachos.
